Calderon's balls are measured on this scale.
Calderon’s balls are measured on this scale.

Here’s my Daily Dime At The Buzzer contribution. See the player grades below.

MVP
Jose Calderon. His first career triple double with 13-10-10, he also carried the team on his back in the first quarter while everyone else found their legs, turning 9-2 deficit to 29-21 advantage.

LVP
Andrea Bargnani. Shot 3/13 and had eight less rebounds than Calderon. He is now at 36% shooting for the year and has just 130 points on 126 field goal attempts with just 37 rebounds.

Defining Moment
In the final 40 seconds, the Pacers took five field goal attempts. They missed each one but grabbed every offensive rebound. They continue to be lost offensively, shooting 32% for the game.

X-Factor
Paul George hasn’t evolved as hoped with Granger out, but he’s shown the ability to contribute when his shot isn’t falling. He shot just 3/14 but had nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

That was…
Ugly. The Raptors hit just one field goal and scored just five points in the fourth quarter, a franchise-record low, but still hung on to win.

Toronto Raptors 74 Final

Recap | Box Score

72 Indiana Pacers
Dominic McGuire, SF 18 MIN | 1-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 2 PTS | +2Didn’t really do a whole lot, though his work on Paul George was adequate.
Andrea Bargnani, C 30 MIN | 3-13 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 8 PTS | +53/13 and he’s now 45/126 on the year with hardly a point per FGA. He had just two rebounds once again. At least David West’s shot wasn’t dropping.
Jonas Valanciunas, C 22 MIN | 4-8 FG | 1-2 FT | 8 REB | 2 AST | 9 PTS | +49-and-8 in 22 minutes and looked solid once again. Curiously, Casey kept his minutes light again despite Roy Hibbert being exceedingly mediocre against him.
Jose Calderon, PG 39 MIN | 5-10 FG | 1-1 FT | 10 REB | 10 AST | 13 PTS | +5His first career triple double with 13-10-10, Jose also carried the team on his back in the first quarter when things started out ugly.
DeMar DeRozan, SG 40 MIN | 5-13 FG | 5-6 FT | 5 REB | 0 AST | 15 PTS | -2Clearly exhausted having played 100 minutes in two nights, he wasn’t as active as the night before but still played well enough.
Ed Davis, PF 15 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 0 AST | 0 PTS | -1Five quick fouls despite no Pacer big posing a real threat tonight, Davis was once again only able to chip in on the boards.
Amir Johnson, PF 29 MIN | 2-9 FG | 3-4 FT | 7 REB | 0 AST | 7 PTS | -4Played solid defense but missed a few shots in close and took a few ill-advised shots as well.
Linas Kleiza, SF 25 MIN | 2-9 FG | 6-6 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 10 PTS | -1Was iced, literally, for a long stretch where it looked like he may have had an ankle sprain. He toughed it out but wasn’t particularly effective.
John Lucas, PG 9 MIN | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 3 PTS | -3The fact that he played just nine minutes a night after Calderon played 50 is all you need to know. He doesn’t have his shot right now, and he doesn’t have Casey’s trust.
Terrence Ross, SG 13 MIN | 3-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 7 PTS | +5Looked very good in his limited opportunities, showing his jumper and displaying very active hands defensively. Needs more exposure.

  • Jamshid

Great Win by Raptors in the absence of Lowry and Fields.
It seems like ( from the last 2 games) this team is more competitive with Jose as starting PG. I guess time will tell …
AB has been very disappointing so far. Hope he turns it around because I don’t think we will get much for trading him ( maybe a 2nd round pick and TPE ) ?

  • cesco

Andrea with a D- and Davis get a C with 1 shot in 15 minutes of play , o points and 5 fouls and COMPLETELY useless om offense . Man , lay off the booze while you watch the game .

    • ghost

Cesco, they both deserve a D-. Are you happy now? Are you sucking his dick or what???

    • hotfuzz

I’ve seen that all your posts are only about andrea and defending him. Why are you so obsessed with him?

      • Statement

That is how cesco rolls.  He’s a Bargs fan first and a Raps fan second.

    • Destro is a punk

Ed Davis is absolute Garbage. Has no D presence, no Offence game, no J, he can just rebound against bench players. His IQ is really low.

        • cesco

          A rested West , 3-12 night , 11 pts in 36 minutes , a +/- of +2 and a loss . A tired Andrea 3-13 night , 8 points in 29 minutes , a +/- of +5 and a win . Who do you think came out the winner of these twos ? .

          • Destro

DeMar came out the winner,he inherited leadership because ur man tired, flabby, lazy and got a vagina !

            Demar won,thats who !

          • Destro

            PS +/- dont mean shit

tired or rested isnt a valid excuse…that matchup was irrelvant Raps won because of a mix of players NONE of which were italian…

Happy honkers have a “wwiinn”…!!!!  Happy masturbating boyz..!!!

Refs are allowing more contact this season, and that will favour the players with strong, stocky physiques and smart legs-feet. It’s gonna be a season with a lot of injuries.

I enjoyed the first three quarters and was wondering when fatigue would catch up with the Raps, and it did in the last quarter as evidenced by the poor shooting.  Thankfully their defense came through in melees under the basket with scrapping and rebounding.

Now the boys can rest until Saturday… and the deevelopment continues.

    • cesco

They showed to-night they are men , not boys . After losing a triple overtime game last night , they showed they have the BALLS required to play in the NBA . Give them time , especially JV and TR .

    • Dan

Wasn’t so much poor shooting. Calderon just became incredibly passive in the 4th. Just like the night before. Once the 4th hits and they have a lead he walks the ball up the court and just stands there running out the clock. The only problem is he is not good enough to get past his man on his own so he is left to hoist a bad shot or pass it off to someone else with little time left to get a good shot. They almost lost again because of him in the 4th. Play to win, don’t play not to lose.
First thing Casey said after the game was he was not happy how passive Jose was in the 4th and that he stopped being aggressive. You can blame fatigue but he played like that the night before and all last year in 4th quarters when they had leads. Toronto needs to learn from Spain and go with someone else when the game is on he line.
He did play great the first three quarters. The 4th was brutal.

      • unknown guest

Then you got to blame Casey for not pulling him aside and making him be more aggressive in the 4th.

  • yeezy

    Bargnani is garbage as always

    • FAQ

Yes, Bargs should be traded to Dallas for Vince + fillers…. agree?

      • j bean

Is Vincent having a better year? This has to be AB’s worst. I wonder if he has his best days behind him?

    • cesco

Very intelligent comment following a win like this one . Notice that Andrea  did not get replaced with a minute or so to go because the coach did not trust his replacement the 1 shot , 5 fouls in 15 minutes wonder .

      • EmarErozan

Not good for Vegetable Lasagna when his redeeming feature is that he is playing ahead of Ed Davis.

        • cesco

          According to some people Ed is a C ( average ) . So Andrea is a least a C+ then .

          • EmarErozan

If true, choosing Andrea first overall was an F.

            • vino

On the same topic… how nice it would seem to have Aldridge instead in Raps uniform.Trade #7 for anything; high 2nd rounder is ok!

wictory baby, which boils down to scoring more than your opponent. there’s good reason AB was out there at the end. D produced the wictory last night.

              • ghost

Wasn’t Amir the one who locked down D. West.

                • p00ka

I didn’t say anything about D.West, but if you wish to talk about the good game that Amir played, that would be rare and welcome lemonade coming out of this collection of the sourest bunch of lemon-pusses I’ve ever seen after “their team” wins a game they were more likely to be the walking dead.

          • Destro

He didnt provide any stops lol…

He let G Hill drive for an uncontested layup final minute…all kinds of assorted easy buckets on his bad positioning and soft touch…

    • NyAlesund

Bargnani is garbage as ED. There are two differences: talent and salary. Unfortunately for AB we can’t do nothing for ED we can avoid the mistake to sign him the extension.

  • mountio

Ugly game .. but Ill take the W.
I sound like a broken record .. but what the hell does T Ross need to do to get more minutes? Very solid on O. Good D (incudling no “men that are 30 pounds heavier than him” abusing him in the post) .. and some solid help D on bigger guys.
The two things I struggle with the most are T Ross’ lack on mins and JV never getting back in in the fourth.
AB is playing really, really bad. Hes nothing more than a spot up three point shooter (who doesnt even shoot a good percentage). I know he was gassed .. so get him the hell out of the game down the stretch – he has useless.
As I said .. Ill take the W .. but we got about as much as we can out of Jose the last two nights .. he will regress considerably (and continue to be a liability on D) and we will need more from other guys.

    • John

I agree with most of your points but who is Casey going to replace Andrea with?  As Cesco has already pointed out Ed Davis is complete trash.  His offence was clearly off but his D was actually solid.  There was a reason Casey left him in and with how physical the game was  getting, Davis would have been rag-dolled.  JV could have come in but it seems Casey is hesitant to give the young guys a chance in crunch time.

      • mountio

On a night like tonight, when AB clearly doesnt have it down the stretch, I would have went with JV. In typical Casey fashion he has blinders that he thinks or Amir and JV as the “5”s that he switches hockey style .. but obviously Amir can play 4. Or, Id even go with Ed, who can be more active on the boards / defense.
However, to be clear, AB should normally be on the court down the stretch – we need his ability to score. He shouldnt be our first option, especially if hes shooting long jumpers (KL/DD in the post should) .. but not tonight. He was a bag of bones and useless out there at the end.

        • p00ka

Stops. JV is not used to the coach’s D enough yet to have had him in, and forget about D from ED. AB had another bad shooting night, but played good D, especially at the end when needed most.

          • Destro

Allowing layups is not good D but thats the opinion of a fanboy…

      • cesco

+1 . I agree about JV , it may be different in a couple of months .

    • onemanweave

AB has been pictured as a guy with no heart who doesn’t care. May be true, but the underlying reason is that he’s sucking wind for a large part of each game.  Might be cardio-vascular problems; might be lack of off-season conditioning; who cares.  Limit his minutes, even when he goes off for 19 points in the first half, he can’t, won’t continue that pace.
He has practically NO trade value right now. Limit his minutes. When he’s rested, he can score points and Raps don’t have over-abundance of scoring.
Get Amir in there to help the rookie centre do things big men do.  Put Linas, the other rook or AA at the three, along with DD and KL/Jose. Amir is not a great player, but he is a player. Bring AB off the bench early to keep Johnson fresh for the finish.

      • onemanweave

Similar point — the old Vince Lombardi line, ‘ fatigue makes cowards of us all’ — well Bargnani has been cowardly in ‘clutch’ situations at the end of games. Maybe it’s as simple as he can’t get his legs into shots because of fatigue.  Given more bench time, he might be better. He can’t be worse.

    • Dan

I think him being hesitant with JV may have to do with the refs. The refs seem to have predetermined that JV is foul prone. Guys playing against him get away with a lot more then he does.

  • mobchester

bargani aka banana showed his real ass today

  • mountio

One other point .. the thought that young guys cant play down the stretch is way off. In fact, AB was probably his best down the stretch in his FIRST year. He didnt know any better!
These guys that have played on shitty Raptors teams and got used to folding down the stretch just dont seem to have the confidence to do it when we need it. Id almost rather let JV/TR go out there and play with confidence, not knowing any better. They cant do any worse than our guys are doing now ..

    • John

I agree but it seems that our coach doesn’t.  How else do you explain scrubs like Anderson and McGuire, guys who have a shell life of 30 games, getting time ahead of Ross.

    • j bean

      So true!

  • Jamshid

God Bless the Herd … The TEAM has two quarter in the last two games which are below 8 points in total and the whole discussion is on AB !!!

    • cesco

Forget about those two quarters , they have gained confidence with the win which is far more important .

    • CJT

Hey, for once we agree on something.

    • Afimi Sinting

yeah so, AB13 is a scorer and he is not scoring so we are talking about AB13

    • Dan

You can’t score points if the pg doesn’t run plays. Holding the ball for 20 seconds and taking a bad shot leaves your team scrambling on the defensive end if you don’t hit your shot or secure the offensive rebound. Then the other team is attacking and scoring quickly and your not really controlling the pace at all because the speed of their attack negates them slowing it down.

  • j bean

That could be an NBA record, 1 bucket in the fourth and still holding on for a win. A win is a win and I’ll take all the ugly records that go with winning. I wonder what the lowest shooting percentage is for a winning team?

  • knickz

my boy calderon with his first triple double. like i said, we needed a scoring sf more than anything

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XHJKFMCGSMBEQGBRKJVLKUGSEQ john g

Encouraged by Ross’ defense in the 4th. I don’t understand why Casey took him out. Same with taking out JV when he was clearly bringing the energy in the 3rd. And I’m slowly losing faith in Bargs. I thought in the beginning of the season he would break out but he has not improved at all. I’m really disappointed with him. He showed no toughness and heart at all from what I saw last year. He looked fatigued and forced too many jumpers. We should have taken him out in the 4th because he was getting bodied by Hansbrough and West for rebounds and tips. You know they lost confidence in Bargs when Amir is the primary pick n roll player in the final possessions in the 4th and he ends up shooting a 3.

  • p00ka

The team toughed out a WIN they weren’t supposed to get, Jose guts out a TRIPLE DOUBLE, and the entire discussion is about AB’s shooting percentage. What a bunch of fn losers.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XHJKFMCGSMBEQGBRKJVLKUGSEQ john g

Why shouldn’t it be about his shooting %? He looked like crap on offense and took long lazy jumpers all night. I don’t care what he did on defense. His rebound numbers again where dismal. Back to back nights of off shooting nights from your top scorer on prob the lowest scoring team. We blew a 15 pt lead.

      • Nilanka15

We’re not allowed to talk about the negatives….

        • CJT

Of course you are, but it seems like that is all you guys ever talk about.  Isn’t there something better to discuss after a game like that?  did you not get anything positive out of it?

          • Nilanka15

I’ll take the win, but this was hardly an impressive performance last night.  No exaggeration, probably the ugliest win in franchise history.

I expect better from this group.

            • CJT

I expect better as well, but for now I will take the win.  A few days ago people we saying that they need to figure out how to win ugly.  When they do, we now say they didn’t win ugly good enough.  It seems like a bit of a no win situation if we can’t be enthusiastic after a gutsy exhausted win.

          • p00ka

Really. The TEAM gutted out a win after a very tough night before, Jose gets the franchise’s 11th all-time triple double, and all they do is whine like little bitches. When these facts are pointed out Nilanka bitch whines some more about not being able to talk negatives. Fn loser

            • Nilanka15

Hahahahaha!  WOW!  Seriously, you are something else.  I honestly envision you to be a cranky, dirty old man, living under the Gardiner, who happened to find a lost iPhone to entertain himself.

Here’s a crazy idea:  if you don’t like being called out as an “internet cop”, STOP BEING ONE (crazy idea, isn’t it?).  People differ in opinion, ok?  Not a difficult concept to understand.

              “Hi, my name is p00ka.
              Talk like I talk.
              Think like I think.
Do what I say….or as God is my witness, I’ll suffocate you with my message board patrolling ways!  This, I promise you!

“Don’t say anything negative about my sacred team!  I want the Raptors
fan base to be an obedient, non-questioning cult who follows my every command!”

Keep fighting the fight, douche.  At the very least, I find it funny how you’re angrier at your fellow Raptor fans who demand excellence, than the team who refuses to excel.

Now for the LAST time, piss off.

              • p00ka

LOL, “Hi, my name is Nilanka, and even after a totally unexpected WIN by “my team”, I’m going to act like a whiney little bitch.”

So, how long are you going to hold on to your whiney bitch complaints that DD will never improve and earn his contract?

                • Nilanka15

If he plays well, I’ll give him credit (like I always do).

Yet another simple concept you fail to understand.

                • p00ka

Oh, I understand that concept quite well, but that;s not what I’m talking about. The concept I have difficulty with is an apparent adult thinking like a 12 yr old and making sweeping declarions, after a few games, that DD has improved NOTHING, and will never live up to his contract, then back peddling with the above “I give credit when it’s due”.

          • Destro

No there is no positives….when they win they still lose cuz they still look apathetic doing it and are still a laughin stock (5 pts)

They were embarrasing in the last 2 mins of the game not beig able to grab a damn def rebound and bargnani is asscheeks with pepperseeds stuck in…

When thee supposed best player on the team is terrible in a 7 game stretch on a 2-6 team its going to be talked about it…..

            • CJT

Well I suppose that says more about you than the team.  If you aren’t able to appreciate some of the things that happened last night that’s too bad for you and your grim life.  And doesn’t it say more about the Pacers than the Raps if they can’t beat a team that scores only 5 points in the 4th?

              • Destro

Fukk outta here with this bullshit

It was an ugly win they ass backwards fell into…they were terrible when it mattered they got completely lucky that indy was bad as well or else it woulda been another disgusting heartless loss….

Sorry lets call it what it is…a meaningless win that really shouldnt provide you with any confidence that things are changing…

                • CJT

It shouldn’t provide YOU with any confidence, but then again what does.  I’ll take the ugly win anyday as long as it counts the same as a blow out in the standings.

    • knickz

       raptors fan

at least the guys on here are more kind than the guys on real gm. the posters on real gm are nothing but scum

    • j bean

You really do have a hangup about the comments of others. Always harping against posters that you don’t like. Maybe you can give us a list of what we can’t say so you won’t take exception to our moronic observations.

      • p00ka

Look at these fn comment, man. Anybody talking about Jose’s triple double, only the 11th in team history? Not a fn word. Anybody talking about JV, with all of 7 NBA games under his belt, negating mr. max deal Hibbert, and sitting him on the bench? Anybody talking about the WIN? You going to use the little whiney “cop/sheriff” retort too? Awwwww, the little bitchazz whiners can’t take being called what they are. Awwwwwwwwwwwww.
The TEAM won a game they weren’t supposed to and all these clown “fans” want to do is bitch, with not a word about the positives. I’m not preventing anybody from doing so if that’s want turns them on, but I won’t stop pointing it out because the whiney bitches whine about it.

        • Nilanka15

Too stupid to realize the blatant hypocrisy in his evil ways.  I feel bad for you.

The next time I’m stopped at Spadina, I’ll make sure to roll down the window and give you a quarter.

          • p00ka

Thank you for all you do.

            • Enough is Enough

How can you pretend to be on cloud 9 right now??  We’re the JOKE of the NBA right now…. 1 for 15 in the 4th Q???  5 points??…. 4 straight offensive rebounds in the last 30 seconds and 5 straight shots for Indiana….. i’m pretty sure we set a NBA record (not a good one)

DUDE – Wake up!!!….take off your rose coloured glasses

We won because Indiana couldnt take it away from the scared little whimps we are at the end of games….isnt this a scary trend?  I count 3 or 4 of these games this season where we’re up by a decent margin and give it away in the final few mins (we’re not even playing our rookies – so no excuses!)

It starts with JOSE and BARGS…. these guys are so used to losing that its scary….

“The team toughed out a WIN they weren’t supposed to get” – Pooka

Way to have some faith in your team Pooks!  Didnt we lose at the buzzer to this same team last opening night??  Aren’t they missing their best player in Granger?

BARGS is a big problem.  He is the biggest problem right now on this team because he simply DOES NOT produce!  I’ve been a huge Bargnani supporter for 7 years…. but this is the worst i’ve seen him.  2 rebounds is ULTRA pathetic (Jose grabbed 8 more than him last night and Demar averages more on the season than him).

How can you Fanboys not see this being a problem???

Pooka says (paraphrasing) – “hey we got the win, barely scrapped one out and even though BARGS laid another egg tonight, we shouldnt talk about it”

Why don’t you do us all a favour and lose your badge!  RR police officer

              • p00ka

I’m not on cloud 9. I’m appreciating a gutsy win, coming off a 3 OT heart breaker the night before, travelling to Indy, where they faced a much higher rated team, 3rd in the East last year, with 2 full days rest, playing on their home court. Anybody who says the raps were expected to win that is a fool. I’m many things but not a fool,,,, well most of the time,,,, and certainly not in this case.

Whoever you are, hiding behind yet another screen name, this lame cop/sheriff defense is pathetic and dishonest. I’m not saying “we shouldn’t talk about it”. I’m saying that it’s sad and pathetic that a so called RR fan base is almost totally focused on it after a gutsy win. How much praise are you seeing about Jose’s triple double? Virtually none. How much praise are you seeing for JV, with only 7 NBA games under his belt, sending max contract Hibbert to the bench as a rebounder that wasn’t effective in helping his team beat a fatigued team rated much lower than them? NONE. How much praise for DD giving it all and driving the lane getting contact after contact, after playing 60 fn fantastic minutes the night before? None.

My issue is that total focus is on the negative, with next to zero attention on the positives from a bloody WIN!!!! If people want to just be whiney little bitches after what we’ve seen the past 2 nights, have at her, but I’ll call them what they are. All this whiney cop/sheriff stuff is laughable. What the fk are y’all? A bunch of 12 yr old internet bitches crying that you don’t get total support for your constant whine? Awwwww, poor little gurlies.

If you have found your passion in life and feel possessed to point out comments that should not be made on a sports blog then all the best.

          • p00ka

Are there rules that I’ve missed about what should or shouldn’t comment on about peoples’ posts? I’m not suggesting rules about “should not be made on a sports blog”. I’m commenting, with my opinion, on what I read. If you have something to say directly to what I’m saying, come on down, but don’t make up stories about me trying to dictate what people should/shouldn’t say. They can say what they want, and I can respond toward what I want. We’re talking about the same people who speak of “fanboys” and “kool-aid drinkers”, so I’m speaking of whiney bitches after a bloody win.

            • j bean

pOOka, you have every right to say that after a Raptors win someone is a fn moronic whiny hitch to be critical of AB. It is similar to Cesco wanting his beloved Andrea to be given a higher grade. To me it’s laughable but that’s just me.

    • FLUXLAND

      Gutted out a win, eh?

You are the definition of a homer THF. GTFOH.

Both “wins” are games the other team lost, the Raps didn’t win them. (Don’t worry, I don’t expect you to understand the difference)

      • The Truth

You are The Answer man, now go to bed

      • Destro

Hes not a homer hes a fan of a certain soft italian..which explains his own posting softness….faggits trying to defend it is type hilarious…

      • p00ka

Yes, now go suck Kobe’s dyck

    • p00ka_is_a_fish

      Typical fanboy response.

      • p00ka

        Typical coward screen name.

    • Destro

BECAUSE HE sucked in every facet of the game…we gonna talk about it and your gonna be mad about it GOOOD !

      • p00ka

Translation: “I’m going to be a whiney little bitchazz punk and nobody’s going to stop me”

        • Nilanka15

          Hahaha, amazingly blind hypocrisy!!!

You just described yourself with that quote to a tee!!!

Man, I’m dying with laughter right now.  Your inability to introspect is fuggin’ hilarious.

          • p00ka

LMAO, reply after reply, repeating the same shit over and over. Feeling a little rattled, whiney bitch?

            • Nilanka15

“Repeating the same shit over and over”…again the hypocrisy.  You’re too much, aahaha!  My abs can’t take any more of this workout.

How many times have you complained about “whiney bitches” today, and you’re calling me out for being repetitive?  Precious stuff man, precious stuff!

Forget the quarter I promised you above, I think I’ll donate a dictionary with “hypocrit” bookmarked instead.

              • p00ka

You guys are pathetic, when the only defenses you have is “hypocrite” and “cop/sheriff”. Better still, save enough that quarters and buy yourself some gumption.

                • Destro

Is gumption flaming online forums and playing a character you wouldnt play offline Poopa ?

                • p00ka

You ask because you’d like a new word (for you) to describe what you represent here? Yes.

        • Destro

he MAD folks ! GOOD !

  • Raptor_Fan

has anybody forgotten about this injury and how long it will take for him to get his shooting stride back?

    • j bean

It depends what you mean by getting his shooting stride back. From terrible to just below average will take 7 games.

    • Afimi Sinting

what are you waiting for that 13 game thing, it’s not going to happen

      • Destro

Wait for the mid season mark…..13 games is so short and flukey it could happen again….

  • EmarErozan

    Bargnani and TRoss for kidgilchrist

    • Scottbbaird

Hey EmarErozan.  Get off the internet.  You’re drunk.

  • Tonious35

Enjoy a win anyway possible I would say, but the Pacers saw the Raptors crap record and thought they would have this in the bag with their pants down.  If we were playing the Boston C**tics,  they would of prison banged the Raps and Rondo would of set a Guinness World Record in assists.  Colangelo has nothing left to lose on his final year, just order Dwyane Casey to play Ross and JV regardless DAMMIT!

    • The Truth

Toronto will beat Boston by 15 points. A W is a W and a hater is a loser

  • BlakeMurphy

Just as an FYI, I generally give the grades relative to expectations (e.g. a D- for Bargnani is relative to my expectations for him, and would not be the same as a D- for Davis). I figure this makes more sense than trying to grade everyone on a curve relative to each other.

    • Robin Van Persie

Your grades sucks big time man. As the refs in this rigged league !

      • unknown guest

NBA refs seem like the worse in all pro-sports. They probably have the most power to change the outcome of the game as well.

  • Statement

    OMFG YEEEAAAAAHHHH, !!!!!

I know this is a Raptors site, but the Jays just got Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson and Mark Buerle (there is an “h” in there somewhere) from the Marlins.

Hot Damn that is some sweet shit.

    • Nilanka15

You know it’s a significant move when the New York media is scrambling to find ways for the Yankees to keep up.

  • NyAlesund

    Murphy
    Expectations?

Ed Davis deserves D-. No question.

Good news, they won the game. Awful game but it was a victory. Good for the guys, good for the record. Now, they have time to rest before palying against Celtics.

Great Calderon. Not for the stats, but for the leadership. He deserves more respect than he had sometimes. We know, his defence is a problem but he put on the floor every single drop of energy and passion he has. I hope this guy remain here in Toronto. We need him.

Bad news, Bargnani. This was the worst game I have seen from him. I don’t really care about the stats, yesterday no one had a good one (except Calderon), but his incapability to take the right decision in close game. Simply he disappeared. I remember only one shot in the last seven minutes, and after that he was far from the ball, like someone who doesn’t want to take the responsability. Normally when JC is in low post AB moves on the top of three point line, yesterday was on the opposite wing side to stay away from the ball. In fact Amir receive the ball and shot from three point line when normally we see him.
I believe that the hierarchy put AB down the list after Calderon, DeRozan, Lowry and even AJ. Trade him is a problem untill he played like yesterday. Who team wants him?

    Ed davis
This guy is a bust. How can we think him as starter is illogical for me. Yesterday he showed why.

    Casey
He learned the lesson. He put Amir on West and AB on Psyco-T.

    Four quarter
I don’t remember a single good offensive play. I don’t remember a single uncontested shot. I hope this team find the way to be more productive.

    Valanciunas
This guy has a bright future. Great pick. Probably the next Rapts All Star.

    Ross
Pleased to see him on the floor and productive. He has numbers.

  • Kujo

Ugly, ugly, unexpected win. I’ll take it.

Pacers ain’t looking to good without Granger, plus Hibbert is not playing well at all. They’re offense is really bad.

Man, Bargs is playing the worse basketball I’ve ever seen him play.  It’s pretty mind boggling to see a player regress in his 7th season.  BC needs to man up, and trade this  bum.

  • yeezy

Cant wait for bargnani to be traded.
