It’s pretty hard to expect different results when you keep doing the same things over and over. Thus is the tale of the Toronto Raptors and some of their key players.
“Anytime a player goes back home or goes up against a former team it means something,” Casey said. “I’m sure he’s too proud to say that or maybe he’s not. But we don’t make a big deal about it. We just hope he produces and plays the way he’s capable whether it’s Houston, Memphis or Phoenix.”
If the relationship between fans and a particular athlete is really just that — a relationship, with all the ebbs and flows and ups and downs the word implies — it’s safe to say that Andrea Bargnani and the Toronto Raptors loyalists are going through a bit of a rough patch right now.
