Hmmmm. For a purportedly young team -being ranked 16th is a grim reminder of our roster’s overall mediocrity.
I don’t think the roster is mediocre at all. In fact I think it’s their best roster in a very long time. It’s coimpletely balanced with two men deep in each position. Adding Tyler Hansbrough, Steve Novak and DJ Agustin certainly adds much need depth in the front and back courts. Along with the players already there, I think the raptors have a very good chance to win at least 45 games, provided there are no catastrophic injuries.
Since 41 games won and lost out of an 82 game season is .500, wouldn’t you agree that a 45-37 record (or 4 more wins than mediocre) is still pretty…mediocre?
Thats the problem with Toronto fans, everyone accepts mediocrity and passes it off as good. There are many better young or current teams in the league.
The truest truth that ever truthed. We are downright rabid for average.
And, you may be missing the point of Dr. Scooby’s comment, which is that a “young team” such as the Raptors, ought to be ranked in the top 15 teams in the league in under 25 talent, and not middle of the road as ESPN suggests.
