It’s not the All-Star game, but it’s something.

Lowry averaged 25.0 points, 8.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game and led the Raptors to a 3-1 week.

As an added note, Dwane Casey was the runner up to Jason Kidd (lol) for Eastern Conference coach of the Month award for the month of January (per Ryan Wolstat of The Toronto Sun)

Gotta hand it to Kidd; he’s got his team playing some smash-mouth hardcore ball. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing the Nets in the first round.

Come on – the Raptors handed Brooklyn their asses twice in January and Kidd gets the nod over Casey? This smacks of Joe Johnson over Lowry. The league wants to give Brooklyn some press and the Raps “aren’t good enough” in people’s minds to award Toronto players/coaches the awards they’ve actually earned.

It was totally lame of them but it will make the rags to riches story even sweeter. Nothing comes easy, especially if you’re the Toronto Raptors.

Nets are paying a lot of money to the Head Office of the NBA in luxury taxes…..

Is there any reason why Kyle can’t be Eastern Conference Player of the Month as well?
