This week on The Doctor is In with Phdsteve, I have called in the boys from the world wide roundtable to say our goodbyes to the 2103-2014 season. Joined by my brother Mike (who knows college basketball), Greg Mason (the brain from the south), and Blair Miller from The Fifth Quarter Blog we take turns discussing what the season meant to us- both for the Raptors and for the NBA as a whole.

We are back next Friday to preview the NBA draft combine and its top prospects as well as sleepers and potential busts.  We will continue to podcast the world wide roundtable every Friday until the draft, so tweet me your questions and topics for discussion.

On behalf of the guys from the podcast thanks for a great season, for the tens of thousands of downloads, and for giving us a platform to do what we love most and talk hoops!

Great format – agree with Brother Mike – I’ve watched the team from day 1 – best season we’ve ever had. Definitely most exciting.
We’re on the cusp – and curious to see witch way to go. I think if we stay for the most part status quo, and keep our picks, then win-wise, I don’t see us improving. But long term, might be the best for the team. Give the young players another year of growth, the organization another year to assess. Take advantage of a better FA market in 2015.
But with the exception of Miami, the East is wide open and we are just a piece or two depth-wise to having a very competitive team. And that might be the best move for the Raps this year. If Jonas and Ross get better, this team gets very interesting.

Steve, been enjoying you guys all season. Wanted to comment and compliment that when you slow down the cadence of your flow you sound soooo much better… radio-ready even. I know this podcast was different because the roundtable was all reading from notes instead of riffing, but it all comes across as intelligible and professional when you slow down (and don’t cut each other off).

P.S. On the topic of professionalism or lack thereof, please change and shorten the opening theme for next season. The first time it was amusing, if a bit wigger-ish. All subsequent times FUCKING SUCKED… and it’s difficult to fast forward on a smartphone download. Thanks in advance.
