This is as per HoopsHype. Both Brazilian picks are slotted to be there and so is Canadian Myck Kabongo, who returns to summer league to seek another shot at an NBA roster. There’s no DeAndre Daniels listed in the report but one would assume he’s very likely to be there, unless the Raptors have other arrangements for him. The Raptors are regular participants in the Vegas Summer League and over the years have gotten a couple roster players from there, the most notable of which might be Jamario Moon. RR will have complete coverage of summer league including dreary post-game reports, speculative analysis, all aimed at filling you with hope that one of these guys could become the next Smush Parker. Of course, we’ll also be monitoring the progress of the Brazilians while paying a particular eye to all things wingspan-related.

Scott Machado G 6-1 06/08/90 Iona 1

No DeAndre Daniels?? Is he that good?

I hope Kabongo has a good showing.

He’s really talented, but has had some bad luck early in his career.

He’ll be an NBA player if he keeps improving.

If by bad luck you mean stupid decisions, then yes he has had some bad luck.

Expand…for a while I thought he was the next coming. The only things I can think of are the NCAA rule violation and declaring too soon.

Myck got suspended for ONE YEAR (later reduced to 23 games) because Tristan Thompson’s agent paid for his airfare ($475) to go work out with him in Cleveland.

The NCAA was looking to make an example of him. It was extremely unfair, and unfortunate for Myck. Personally, I think part of the reason was because he was an international student, and hence the backlash in the US media wasn’t as severe.

As for his decision to enter the draft after his shortened season. Can you blame him for not wanting to play in the NCAA after that?

Believe me or not, Machado has brazilian citizenship. So 3 brazilians right here

I hope John Shurna has good showing. support from Lithuania

This might be the first summer league I watch, really interested to see how our new acquisitions perform.

Who is Eric Griffin and why doesn’t his name end with a vowel.

I wonder if Nogueira is joining the Raps this year. He still has one year remaining with Estudiantes of the Spanish League but the buyout is not as hefty ($800,000) as JV’s.

is ross going to summer league?

I am excited for Kabongo and Machado, I think both could be better than Stone or Buycks. Kabongo has a great handle and has a lot of upside and Machado averaged 10 apg during his last season in Iona. Both would be nice 3rd PGs for the team
