This game is being shown on TSN2, the channel that when it does come on Rogers, I will never watch except for the Raptors game and even then, I’ll PVR the game so I don’t get to watch the commercials and make the shits who advertise on there suffer. We’ll try to have the game… Read more »
Jake Voshkul will be signed by the Raptors. Tyson Chandler is out with a stiff neck. There’s a pretty crazy rumour floating out there, it looks like BS but still… 99-91 NO Final: Too much Chris Paul setting up three point shooters: Rasual Butler with 16, James Posey with 20/10. David West outplays Chris Bosh… Read more »
Click HERE for Live Chat 4-3 CLE 10:34 1st: Raptors start off with a couple of turnovers and LBJ finishing on the break. LBJ reaches some sort of milestone. Live chat here (closed). 98-97 Blazers Final: Chris Bosh becomes the new PG for the Toronto Raptors and goes one on one against Aldridge at the three point line, drives left and throws up a prayer. Sorry, but I’d rather have TJ Ford taking that shot. Goats of the Game: Jose Calderon and Chris Bosh…. Read more »
45-26 Denver: Wow, this is getting ugly. We’re camping out on the perimeter, not playing any defense and have not run a single cohesive offensive set. Jamario Moon just threw the worst cross-court pass I’ve ever seen. Denver’s just bombing away from three and we’re not contesting. 53-43: A little bit of a run. Mostly… Read more »

Wheels coming off again….6:51 left and we are back to looking like a loss. 93-80 Philly. Turnovers coming back to haunt us again. Roko finally enters the game and we… Read more »
This I can explain. His low usage rate when he is on the floor minimize his impact on team stats, such as team O/D rating and even plus minus (since that stat also accounts for the other members of the rotation. However, when he is being used, his individual stats, or the stats that are only dependant on his contributions, he looks pretty good, pretty great even.
Basically, like what everyone else has been saying, it comes down to usage rate. Involve him enough in the offense and there's no reason why his individual efficiency won't be reflected in the team stats.
Now here's where you might say "but the raptors lose more when he shoots more than average, so the usage rate argument doesn't hold up". That's a fair point, but I would argue that Jonas often gets those extra field goals when A) the guards are putting up a ton of bricks and Jonas is cleaning the glass, or B) he's a last resort after its clear that the other scoring options aren't working. In both scenarios, the team as a whole is playing below average, so it makes sense that they would win a lower percentage of games.
