  • TOR-HOU-IND What do you think?

I've been reading many threads over the past few weeks and I've seen many similar trades repeated over and over again especially with the Denver nuggets. So here's what I have...

    Toronto Sends
    Lou Williams (IND)
    Chuck Hayes (IND)
    Patrick Patterson (HOU)

    Indiana Sends
    David West (TOR)
    Chris Copeland (HOU)

    Houston Sends
    Trevor Ariza (TOR)

Toronto pulls the trigger on this trade because they obviously need an upgrade defensively at the small forward position and Ariza is a 3-D type of player. They also receive David West whos a solid veteran who can provide us with 14 & 8 despite his current age, at the same time he can mentor Valanciunas and all the other players some toughness. Indiana does this trade because david west will likely bolt given his age and desire to play for a contender so they would probably like to get something back at the very least and lou williams will give them the scoring that they dont have because of Paul George's absence. Houston is loaded with small forwards with brewer and j smith and would have the flexibity to deal ariza for patterson who thrived during his first few years in houston as a starter before he got traded to the kings and he would be a nice fit in the starting lineup for them. They also get Chris Copeland who is not as good as ariza but he can bring the same type of defensive intensity for the team and can shoot the 3 a little.

I also think Toronto should sign Andray Blatche because hes another solid veteran who can help us out.

    Our new starting lineup becomes

    Lowry/Vasquez
    DeRozan/Ross
    Ariza/JJohnson/Fields/Caboclo
    West/Johnson/Hansbrough
    Valanciunas/Blatche/Stiesma/Nogeuira

Leave a reply and tell me what you guys think, thanks.

Exactly why would Houston and Indiana do this? Indiana is tanking this season and somewhat rebuilding, so they are gonna want to have picks involved if you want to get this done. Houston doesn't have a loaded SF position (Smith is not a SF. Can we all stop saying he is cuz he clearly isn't). They have a loaded PF position, so it makes no sense why they would want PP (who is just a redundancy since he's basically like Terrence Jones). Sorry but this isn't a realistic trade.

Ariza is handcuffed to Harden. Harden isn't allowed on the floor without him.

So who's holding the gun to Daryl Morey's head?

Houston will never even think about doing this in a billion years

Ariza and West for Ross, Fields and Amir Johnson. TR is a non driving SF and an inconsistant 3py shooter lately, and Lou Williams fits the three year window for the present group of Raptor players.

No way we trade Patterson for neither West or Ariza.
