  • Grange: Raps Might Be Looking for Additional 1st Round Picks

    Interesting.

    As per Michael Grange:

While what happens to Bosh, Turkoglu and the point guard log jam won’t be cleared up until July at the earliest, the Raptors indicated yesterday they might be in the market for additional first-round picks later in the draft to round out their roster.

The draft looks to be fairly deep this year in young athletic talent. Though there are not a lot of PGs in it there appear to be a fairly large number of bigs and good number of wings.

“As a captain, I played furiously. I drew a lot of fouls, but I brought everything I had to every practice and to every game. I left everything on the court because I simply wanted the team to win”

Well about time he started gaining extra first round picks rather than trading them away.

The funny thing is that we had the oppertuinty and the need for another first round pick in the last 2 seasons and Colangelo never jumped on it.

Now with a sign and trade coming up with Chris Bosh, a first round pick would anyway's be part of the package coming back so if this is Colangelo's master plan of getting a first round pick, I am once again dissapointed.

Don't gotta say that again. BC in my opinion is over-rated hes too much caught up trying to win, instead of building a team with young talented assets.

Nothing more than rudimentary thinking given the number of roster spots that need to be filled with cheap salary.
