  • Andrei Kirilenko, Andre Igoudala wing tandem anyone?

If we aren't blowing it up I'd like to see both of these guys suit up

Andrei Kirilenko (4 years 32 million)

Wolves' forward Andrei Kirilenko, who has to decide by the end of the month if he'll opt-in to a $10 million contract for the 2013-14 season, to a Russian reporter this week: "So far nothing has been decided, before the first of July is the time. Let us think. For me, not that good, it's just a one-year (contract with the Wolves). And after a year I have to again decide what's what, I would certainly prefer in this situation have a full contract and did not think about my future." 1500 ESPN
Andre Igoudala (4 years 40 million)

The Nuggets have to re-sign forward Andre Iguodala, for example, a free agent this summer. Asked Thursday how Karl’s ouster would affect his decision, Iguodala texted, “Good question. Need some time to let it sink in.” NBA.com
a starting lineup of Lowry/Iggy/Kiri/Amir/JV could compete for the stingiest defense in the league.

If we are retooling and keeping Casey... WE NEED TO START GETTING PLAYERS THAT PLAY HIS WAY!

problem is you would likely need to balance out this roster with a bench 3pt specialist ala Redick.

I'm aware that both of these guys would likely be sign and trade situations.

Yeah, that would be my concern. Though it would be nice to have one or the other.

1.) Both are better 3pt shooters
            2.) Both are better defenders
            3.) Both are better facilitators
            4.) Both are better rebounders
5.) Both are better ball handlers

              Lowry - 18 - 20 pts (offensive load would increase a bit)
              Andre - 12 - 16 pts
              Andre - 10 - 12 pts
              Amir - 10 - 13 pts
              JV 15 - 20 pts

now all you need is 20 pts from your bench

If the other team can only score 80, you only need 81 to win.

                  Both or 30+

Neither can score effectively. It would be so brainless to devote 72M to these two.

Iggy is 29, Andrei is 32. Both can score effeciently and STUFF the stat sheet in other columns "rebounds assists and steals."

If the goal of the club to bring in young players and teach them, I can't think of better players to emulate in learning the "total game"

They score efficiently because they don't have to be primary scorers. I'm so sick of the overuse of efficiency statistics. They have to be used in context.

You can't just take a guy like Kirilenko who shoots 50% on 8 shot attempts a game and expect him to maintain that efficiency in an expanded role. Just due to the nature of that lineup, he'd probably have to double his shot attempts. Do you really think he's going to maintain his efficiency and become a 25ppg scorer on 50% shooting? No. His efficiency is going to take a nosedive.

This is the thinking that cost Memphis bigtime. Yes Rudy was scoring 17ppg on a somewhat inefficient 42% shooting.... so they get rid of him. Who takes his 16 shots now? Prince/Allen/Conley are all going to see their efficiency decrease with increased volume. This thinking is so devoid of logic.

I don't want them to be primary scorers. Neither one is being placed in that role. I want the offensive load shifted to Lowry and Valanciunas. I even showed that I only wanted them getting between 10-15 points per game. I want them knock down wide open threes off drive and kicks. I want them to run the floor in transition and get easy buckets.

                        That's good because I didn't.

                        No I don't

It would if he was asked to

Western Conference Finals Memphis? That Memphis? Someone tell me when we were last in any kind of Finals

42% on mostly the worst shot in basketball, the dreaded mid range game.

Who takes his 16 shots now?
Divided up between the much more effecient Randolph Gasol and Conley.

This thinking is so devoid of logic.
I'd say using a team that made the Western Conference Finals after they got rid of Rudy Gay in order to prove how valuable he is, is devoid of logic

Just for fun though, in the playoffs and with Gallanari injured Coach Karl asked Iggy to step up and become a primary weapon

PPG:18.0 RPG: 8.00 APG 5.3 on 50% from the field 40% from distance and 72% from the FT line

                          EFF+ 23.33

GRANTED this is a six game sample

in APRIL: 16pts 1 block 2 steals 8 assists 7 rebounds per game

Would love Igoudala. Just adding him would make an enormous difference. You can break down Denver's improvement this past year and he accounts for a massive part of that. I don't see him and Kirilenko complimenting one another. Don't really think that works.

AK is not really the guy you want mentoring young players...
