66% FG! That's a great stat. As is the 1.7 blocks in just 21 minutes.
still dont know how he dropped so low to us.....only 21 mpg and hes second on our team in rebounding thats simply beast and ive been pretty pleased with how he sees the floor, hes just a few post up moves and a jump shot away from being a real threat

exactly hes got a bit of all theyre qualities in him and hes soo long he doesnt need to blockas many shots by the amount of them that he alters, and adding a bit a muscle to his frame wouldnt hurt his potential is sky high.....Quote:

no he can deffinately play the 5 for sure antanio davis was our part-time center and he was only 6'9 and joahkim noah basically the same build as ed and he does just fine so if he adds a bit to his frame he be able to do alot there.Quote:

Paired with Bargs, it doesn't really matter if you consider him a 4 or a 5. He'll be the one in the paint while Bargs is a little bit further from the basket, angling for a drive or a jumper. Is Bargs the 5 or the 4? Who cares? I think Bargs and Davis are much more complementary players than Bargs and Bosh were. Hopefully Davis reaches his potential.

9 game sample size... not very statistically significant but it is what it is. Some thoughts:
- Not a 6 rbs a night guy. Either gets ~9 rbs or ~3 rbs. 4 out of 9 games with 2 or less rbs. Matter of consistency.
- Picks up fouls almost as quickly as Amir. 2 games with 5 fouls (in 18/24 minutes).
- Raptors only won 2 games in January.
- With a depleted rotation Davis should be averaging more minutes, especially with defensive liabilities.

Compared to 66% in his second year at UNC. In his first year he only shot 57% from the Free Throw line so maybe his wrist isn't negatively affecting his ability to shoot. Maybe he just can't shoot free throws. Can English help him become a passable free throw shooter? Only time will tell
When you look at his shot selection and FG% we find

Less than 10 Feet ----81.8%-----Only 1 FGA per game
10-15 Feet------------25.0%------Only .3 FGA per game

Compare to Reggie
At the Rim------------41.9%------2.1 FGA per game
Less than 10 Feet ----26.7%-----Only 1 FGA per game

So right now Davis seems very similar to Evans in shooting ability except that Davis so far appears to be a better shooter than Reggie at the RIM and up to nine feet.
But beyond nine feet you never want either one to shoot the ball.
Fortunately for the Raptors both Bargnani and Johnson can shoot ball accurately from beyond nine feet.
Buddah, you keep bringing up all these stats about Davis and how bad he is offensively, and it just baffles that you don't see the pointlessness of it.
WE DON'T CARE IF HE CAN SCORE! THE TEAM DOESN'T CARE! HE'S THE BEST DEFENDER ON THE TEAM AND HE'S 21 F%#@&^% YEARS OLD!!
Davis is just fine offensively, he knows his limits and plays within them...and like, he's an excellent defender and stuff, which is why the team drafted him.
