Personally, I've been thinking it is because he is lurking in the shadows of RR and he is finally starting to listen to us. :)

NBA Dunk Ladder thinks its because they just recently kicked him out of 10th place and he wanted to show them up.

Eitherway, it was down right filthy, and its going to go down as own of those historic dunks in this guys career. Especially if it wins dunk of the year... Its truly better than all the other dunks on the ladder. This time US media had no choice but to represent us!

yeah Acy's reaction is awesome. I always look forward to bench reaction in a big highlight.

Did Gay's signing help Demar's dunk go viral?

That was truly a great dunk. No question about that. Great to be a Raps fan. There haven't been this much attention given to a Raps player since Vince. That made me think back at some of the dunks by a Raps player since Vince and I ask myself this question. "If Rudy Gay was not a RAPTOR when Demar made that dunk, would it be the dunk of the year so far?" I personally doubt it, as people in the US media are now looking at the Raps to see if the Rudy Gay the experiment will work out.

What do you all think?

Rudy may have influenced the dunk itself, but he certainly hasn't influenced the reaction. In my opinion.

When was the last time we saw DeRozan do anything like that? He didn't warrant any buzz before.

Suggesting Gay is the reason for the notoriety takes away from DeMar's accomplishment.
