How can you possibly know this?
I haven't watched much of GSW this year but is this style of play really sustainable? On either end? They look great but it seems like an approach that will break down over time.
Bonus - The officiating in the fourth was completely different from the first three quarters and changed the entire pace and tenor of the game. It isn't always about whether a correct call is made. ...
The officiating was pretty clearly an issue, though not the only one.
I do agree that Raps fans have a persecution complex when it comes to the refs and there is often a knee jerk reaction to...
4th quarter offense let them down again. 17 point quarter. With no Derozan, if Lou isn't scoring there just aren't enough options out there late.
The whistle completely changed in the fourth. ...
I don't care what anyone says. This Kyle Lowry fella is not too bad at basketball.
By the way, Raps in Denver and nothing crazy happened. This whole season is like bizarro-world.
I was watching the game and said to my wife, " 4th quarter, Friday night in Detroit and nothing crazy has happened yet". Should have known better.
Triano was out of his depth as a head coach but he was also given a horrible roster. He had no chance.
Casey got too much blame two years ago and probably too much credit last year. Of course,...
This was discussed last year on the board and I believe there was a quote from a coach (can't recall who) to the effect that coaches ran ISO for stars late cause: ego of the players involved and,...
You realize that difference between 5-6 points per 100 possessions is a huge difference. Right?
The defense has struggled recently but the system and schemes are sound - team was top 10 last year.
Can the Raps beat an elite Eastern conference team in the playoffs featuring Amir, Hayes and PP late in the game? Can that group stop Noah and Gasol? Can they control the Cavs bigs? Can they contain...
So, um, the Raps are good now, huh? Can't wait till this team goes out west and plays some of the big boys on the road. I am dying to watch some great basketball that actually involves my team.
Something is clearly wrong with JV's hand and Amir's ankles.
Otherwise, 7-1. Wow. Two big tests coming up. Bring on the Bulls.
In Soviet Russia, balls turns over you!
Awesome. No broadcast in western Canada without having all 5 SN channels. Meanwhile, Sportsnet 1 has a tape delay of the Federation Cup final. They could show that any time of day. Hate Rogers.
Solid win against a sneaky good Atlanta team despite the fact that a few guys struggled offensively.
Some questionable play/decisions down the stretch from the head coach on down but I'll chalk...
Not sure about the premise of this article. There is solid depth on the perimeter but an injury to JV, Patterson or Amir and the front court rotation looks pretty shaky. Ready for 30 minutes each...
Fairly proud of myself. I made it through almost 2:00 minutes of a summer league game before turning it off.
I don't know how you guys watch this stuff. Just awful.
Ujiri and his scouts needed multiple visits to evaluate him as a pick, so it is unclear to me how anyone here can draw conclusions after 20 mins in summer league.
As much as I am sure those other guys were just beating down Ujiris door begging to sign in Toronto, it seems more likely that was absolutely not happening.
It has no impact on signing anyone else. It is not material next year as Williams expires and GV will be in the final year of a deal. Easily movable.
Why does everyone not understand that free...
Although, in fairness, salary inflation through free agency is inevitable as owners' revenues increase (as DanH pointed out). And at least the NBA GMs waited a year before blowing their brains out...
I hate to say I told you do Matt but..... I told you so. More cause competitive balance or something. Lol.
Yes. What people don't understand is that these UFA deals are going to be even richer going forward. This deal already looks good but it may look like a steal next offseason.
It's not the Lowry...
Free agency doesn't work that way. Market goes up all the time.
