And for the Record, Heinz picked the Spurs to win it all ...
i did! and not when they made the finals! i picked them early on.

because, if there's one thing i've learned in this league.... despite all the talk of how many superstars you need, and how dominate X & Y players are... there's one thing you can always bet on.

    The Spurs win.

They're a franchise built on one thing. How to win.

Not marketability. Not "dominance". Not "superstars". WINNING.

from top to bottom, everything about them is about winning. Last night the almighty Heat were DESTROYED by two players, had they been on any other team, would be d-league fodder within the next few years..

i'm not even a SA fan... never have been... but if there's one thing i've learned... it's always safer to bet on them than against them. i dont care what the odds are. you don't bet against a franchise that has been consistently winning for like 15-16 years straight.

    random thought... apropos to nothing...

the team that broke the 3 pt record last night WASN'T the team with Ray Allen on it.

that thought gave me a slight giggle.

Crazy to think that three games into an NBA finals with LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Allen, Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili, the Finals MVP so far is Danny Green.

I mean if yesterday had been the last game of the Finals, Green most likely would have been finals MVP. It is just so crazy.

    Default Slight Strain

Tony Parker had an MRI on Wednesday on his injured hamstring, revealing a slight strain.

Parker was limited to just six points in 27 minutes in the San Antonio Spurs' Game 3 win.

Parker went to the locker room for treatment in the second half, but returned to the game.

Parker's status for Game 4 is uncertain.

"We'll see tomorrow how I feel," wrote Parker on his Twitter page. "I really hope to play."

He will play unless his leg falls off.

Yup, Dennis Johnson was the 29th pick in the second round of the 1976 NBA draft, and then won Finals MVP in 1979 with the Super Sonics.

Manu came close as a second rounder, and Tony Parker won it having been the 28th pick in his draft (almost a second rounder).

Gary Neal's got some serious balls with all these 30-footers he's taking.

Or he's so young he doesn't realize the magnitude of what he's playing in.

If Parker could play the whole game as normal they would have took the Heat last night. He kept getting pulled early due to the hammy; this was by plan.

Expect game 6 to be rigged as hell for the Heat to win. Stern will assert his iron first into the refs to force a game 7 to get the highest rating game this season.

I expect a 8 vs 5 against the Spurs. Game 6 is probably gonna be rigged as hell!
