That's way over exaggerating. The Clippers had a stretch where they didn't make the playoffs for 14 straight seasons! followed by 3 first round exits and another 8 year drought. This franchise isn't even that old yet, we started off good and we've dropped off a bit over the years. But it looks like things are going our way now, but we are by no means this generations clippers. That title should go to Sacremento or Minnesota
Who cares if they had a worse stretch? They're in the playoffs now. We aren't.

There is only one thing I disagree with in the article. And that is this:

The Raptors rank in the bottom 10 in every category across the board. To change that, a star must emerge for Toronto. But they probably won't find him in the 2013 draft -- the Oklahoma City Thunder will be picking in Toronto's place at the 12th slot.
You don't need a star to have better systems on offense and defense. You might or might not get to the top of the league without one, but you definitively don't have to be in the bottom 10 of every category without one.

Because Apollo was comparing this team to the Clippers...
They made the playoffs big whoop, they got knocked out in the first round

Not sure how they get such a poor 'money' rankings when they've got some of the wealthiest owners in the league, those owners have indicated a willingness to spend, and the team is one of the more revenue-positive teams in the league. Similarly, don't see how they get such a poor 'market' score when they're located in one of the largest markets (both city and larger media market) in the league, and one that has supported the team with solid attendance well above the team's performance.

Mediocre is when you're constantly in the 10-20 range. They say mediocre is the worst position in basketball to be in, yet we've been in the upper poverty range for some time, which isn't good either.
We prefer upper-lower class, we still live in the ghetto but we got cable!

LOL. That ESPN never-played-the-game-stats-geek-reporter-turned-Grizzlies-GM Hollinger pretty much owned our sorry asses last season. Derozan and Raptors fanbase will never live that one down.

i think it probably takes everything in Hollinger's power not to tweet Demar "hey DD, how do my nuts taste?" every. single. day.
