I dont think we'll need him if we pick up Kabongo or some fresh new talent to play back up PG, will he really want to come to Toronto in a mentor role and not play as the 3rd string? maybe but I wouldnt pay him over the vet minimum...

        Dennis Schroeder or Kabongo?

I think Dennis could be our backup for a while to Kyle Lowry then emerge as a starter, I'd like to see him as the next Rajon Rondo

            I'd take Kabongo over Schroeder

              I'd be happy with either.

Probably give edge to Schroeder based on age and shooting.

                Im in the Schroeder camp.

But Kabongo's Canadian connection is very very appealing.

Raps would have to send a minimum of $5.5M out..... and Novak and Camby can't be traded with anyone else until September 10 at the earliest.

                    Any interest?

                      Lin and Asik for Derozan?
                      Lowry for Afflalo?

I don't think Houston is interested in a DeRozan. He has shown no ability to space the floor which is now a necessity for Howard. He would be a $9.5M backup to Harden and Parsons. Morey is very much in to advanced stats and DD's game is most definitely not.

I think there would be better hope for Fields to be honest (less money, less years, contributes without the ball in his hands).

What if they moved Harden to PG?

                          Harden
                          Demar
                          Parsons
                          Robinson
                          Howard

That is a killer starting 5.

But if we can flip Fields into Linsanity, then I am 100% for it!

Robinson has been traded to Portland. Right now I think it would be Montiejunas or Jones starting at PF.

Not sure about Harden at PG - although he certainly has the ball in his hands a lot anyways.

Maybe I am fixated on what SVG did in Orlando but I don't think there is enough spacing on the floor in that lineup. Any team that is rocking DD at SG needs a stretch 4 to keep the D honest. Of course that statement is based on his career thus far and doesn't take in to consideration 2013-14 when he shoots 43% from deep on 7 attempts per game.

Robinson didn't start for them after the trade.
