Smart gone apeshit again tonight. 23 points at the half. His lack of assists worries me though. However his D is insane.
Love it! The more he goes off the more Andrew Harrison fall into our laps. His situation really reminds me of what happens to Jrue Holiday in 09'

    • DraftExpress has updated their mock

      http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2014/

Parker moved into 3rd with Exum dropping to 4th. Noah Vonleh (Freshman at Indiana) gets added out of the blue (don't know if there is new info on his intentions).

Fun note: 2nd round PG Shabazz Napier of UConn. This has to mark the first time in the history of all sports that back to back drafts featured a player named Shabazz.

They had him with a 2nd round grade last time. Hard to believe that many people have passed him but it's early still. The big board will settle down a bit after Christmas.

This team's success will come from the block; low post, high post and trade.

Actually they have him going 21st in 2015, and on their top 100 prospects, they have him as the 37th prospect overall. Trying to predict at this point of the year which guys will enter the draft has to be the most difficult part of making a mock.

              My bad didn't see that.

              • It's still way too early to read into mock drafts really.

*Good for looking up names if you want to research them as fans, but that's about it.

Same here, although things will probably change (I'd expect his stock to rise during MM/late-season tournaments, UK has a really good team and if he plays well scouts will notice).

                    • SI's prospect watch on Marcus Smart and others.

"At 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, Smart is built like a combo guard and can score like a shooting guard. He lit up Memphis' athletic wing players last Tuesday for 39 points on 11-of-21 shooting. That's in addition to four boards, four helpers and five steals.

The sophomore guard can defend any player on the wing with his long arms and sturdy frame. Smart's slew of skills makes him hard to peg with a current NBA comparison.

He's a table-setter and scorer like James Harden but actually has an interest in playing defense -- and is really good at it. He can slash, finish and affect the game in every facet like Dwyane Wade but isn't quite as athletic as Wade was in his prime. "

                          • Julius Randle has more games with at least 13 rebounds than Anthony Davis did during the entire 2011-12 regular season. It's November 25.

Davis was a killer defender even in college. Randle... not so much.
