valid point. isn't part of the allure of embiid the fact that he has only been playing basketball for a few years? You can't apply this to everyone (for example, i have also only played for a few years), it may apply to Bruno

Can't wait for summer league. If this guy has any talents, he should show us something in summer league.

Thanks gang for an entertaining and respectful draft night chat!

The coming days and weeks should be quite interesting around the league... lets see what else MU has up his sleeve!
Yeah, the draft wasn't especially key for Raps this year. Dealing with Lowry and finding help on the wing and upfront with vets will be critical.

I'm warming up to the Caboclo pick because a swing for the fences was exactly the play I expected, I just thought that if Ennis was off the board, it would be Anderson or Capela, who despite all the attention have huge risk associated to each of them.

So in the end, I like the play...even though I'm still completely mystified and I still feel like I don't know what really happened tonight.

Funny thing is, if the Spurs had drafted Bruno everyone would have said, "classic Spurs, dude's gonna be a solid player"

We draft him: "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"

Masai just said Bruno is gonna be here and play in Summer League
He's 2 years away from being 2 years away, but his wingspan is already here .

Ujuri looks pretty bummed out during his interview. Maybe he has been up for 48 hours straight or maybe he feels this just blew up on him with the Suns taking Ennis at 18 and Denver taking Harris at 19. Your two guys gone in sequence just one slot ahead of you. Effing coin flip again.

The pick made more sense to me when I thought they were stashing him somewhere. Guess we will see if he is two years away from being two years away......

Well, I have no clue how far away he is from contributing, but I don't trust any assessment on ESPN.

Default Anyone else really happy with this pick?

For all the talk about getting star players, this is just another way to do it. We just got a really high upside guy at 20 and that's all I can really ask for.

I just really like the upside of the move. Better than drafting a guaranteed future role player like stokes imo
