Apparently not serious. But wow the roster of injuries from this game is getting ridiculous.

He's a better defensive oriented point guard than both Augustin or Buycks so far in pre-season.

man... this sucks for Stone and the Raptors. Stone has no guaranteed money yet, and the Raptors lose a defensive gem.. I hope it isnt that bad.

Surgical repaired hip became very sore after 3 mins of action. I think he's done for now.

He does have a contract, but not a guaranteed one, meaning if he's cut before opening day he counts as $0 against the cap.

But there's a catch! There's a clause in the CBA saying that you can't cut a player if he's injured (more or less*). So if this injury keeps him out until after the start of the season, it could be a decent payday for him.

    * The actual nature of the clause is that contracts that we commonly refer to as "unguaranteed" are technically "unguaranteed against lack of skill". When you waive a guy on that type of contract and don't want to pay him, you say he was waived because of lack of skill. BUT, if he's injured, you're not allowed to claim you're waiving him for lack of skill. And all NBA contracts are guaranteed against injury--if a guy gets hurt while playing for you, you've got to at least keep playing him until he heals up.

It's not; you're just parsing a somewhat ambiguous sentence wrong. He missed all three of his first 3 shots, but made 6 of his last 8 shots.

I'll actually be pretty upset if Stone is out for good. I feel like his defensive ability could of really helped, especially in late game situations covering the best PG's in the league

i gotta say... i'm really impressed with demar so far. watching him, you can see he's trying to take good shots. letting the offense come to him more. his 3 point shooting still isn't up to snuff and i'm not going to bother talking about his defense, but he's trying to be more effecient, and i really appreciate that.

    rudy on the other hand...
