JV had some troubles defending Roy postups, but I like that battle, he's not backing down a bit.

He's done a mostly good job. Roy has been hitting his moves. But it's not for a lack of D most of the time. And that end of half jumper is really not something you expect him to hit. He's also keeping Hibbert off the glass.

Jonas has been a really big factor on the other end. Hibbert is afraid to leave him to help defend the paint. He's so focused on stopping Jonas and keeping him off the glass that he's not doing his usual job being a help defender.

One observation: both, JV and Hibbert have the same task when it comes to rebounds - keep the other center from offensive rebounds. This makes them unavailable for the defensive boards, as they're holding each other until somebody else pulls down the board. So far, it has worked out in favor of the Raps, as all our other players came in to crash the defensive boards. Raptors advantage 23-16. Hopefully, Dwane Casey won't mess up this game with his rotations...

But that's what happens when a player knows that when he kicks it back out, regardless of his position, he won't get it back.
He needs to know he'll get it back, before he's comfortable kicking it out and giving up solid position.
