    Default Black friday starting lineup!

All right all you bargain hunters! You got 30 million dollars. Put together your Toronto Raptors starting lineup that could reasonably win 40 games. Try to avoid HOF players chasing rings (Ray Allen etc.)

LETS SEE IF YOU CAN BEAT MY TEAM!

    PG: Goran Dragic (7.5 million)
    SG: Aaron Affalo (7.5 million)
    SF: Wilson Chandler (6.3 million)
    PF: Channing Frye (6.4 million)
    C: Nikola Vucevic (1.7 million)

    price tag: $ 29.4 million

Haha love it! I also love ESPN calling today "Black Hole Friday", with a picture featuring Westbrook, Gay and 'Melo, who are all in action tonight! lol

PG: Bledsoe ($2.63) [Lillard or Rubio would also work]
SG: Thompson ($2.32) [Hayward would also work]
    SF: James ($19.07)
    PF: Faried ($1.37)
    C: Vucevic ($1.79)

    TOTAL: $27.18

    LOL

A buddy of mine were talking about this a couple of days ago.

I said GM would be dream job. He said coach would be good.

I said, "Yeah but coach has to deal with all those egos." Then I realized GMs deal with agents who, in my opinion, have bigger egos - lol.

Anyways, thanks. I can't think of a better job.... outside of being a husband and father..... ok, wife left the room again.

Agents are pure evil, no way around it.

The Raps starting 5 will lose to this group by a wide margin.

    I disagree.

It is the very reason under the new CBA with new punitive luxury/repeater tax why draft picks and subsequent rookie contracts are valued so much.

That's the point though. The best value is clearly in draft picks/superstar players. It somewhat defeats the purpose of the excercise I'd think, since you're no longer looking for bargains, but just finding the best young players still on their rookie deal.

Throw in min level players around LBJ and they probably beat the raptors.

I'm not sure if having 3 SF's is considered cheating but they can all play multiple positions
    PG- Ricky Rubio 3.7
    SG- Paul George 3.3
    SF Chandler Parsons .9
    PF Lebron James 19.1
    C Nikola Vucevic 1.8
    Total 28.8 Million

On second thought George and James have very similar games and take up the same space. Maybe Love would be a better fit then Lebron. Either way the team is a contender.

And this team has enough to sign Lebron in the offseason..

    Starters ($12M):

    PG: MCW ($2.2)
    SG: Bledsoe ($2.6)
    SF: George ($3.3)
    PF: Faried ($1.4)
    C: Drummond ($2.5)

    2nd string ($7.3M):

    PG: Thomas ($884K)
    SG: Stephenson ($1)
    SF: Leonard ($1.8)
    PF: Henson ($1.9)
    C: Vucevic ($1.7)

    3rd string ($5.4M):

    PG: Beverly ($788k)
    SG: Butler ($1.1)
    SF: Parsons ($925k)
    PF: Sullinger ($1.4)
    C: Plumlee ($1.1)

    TOTAL: $24.7M

Good news for the players is 90% of salary cap must be spent by each team. If not then the difference is split and given to the players on the roster. Sos this lineup is about $30M under the mandatory 90% meaning each player is going to get a bonus of about $2M each.

    Not really.

That was off top of my head.

Only one I struggled with was Blair.
