  • An Ode to Acy

    Acy, oh Acy,
    We hardly knew thee,

You were the less popular choice,
    Of the Quincy's from Baylor,
But your hard work each day,
    Showed each naysayer,

We glued you to the bench,
    For almost every game,
    Even though your positive play,
    Was always the same.

    Heart, Hustle, Beard,
    You are a man's man,
    We all salute you for,
    Doing the best you can.

    We hope you'll forgive us,
    For shipping you with Gay,
We had to get rid of him,
And you the price we pay,

    Sacramento is nice,
    At this time of year,
    They might even play you,
    Or so I hear,

    We wish you the best,
    A true holiday devine,
    Into Raptors lore you enter,
    A "what if" for all-time

DJ Augustin. A 2nd shout-out should be to Buycks for his move (far left)

Man, every year, the fan favorite gets traded. Good luck Quincy!

I watched a Raptors game with my mom one time -- she thought Quincy was Harden.

"We got the guy from Kevin Durant's team"
“I don’t create controversies. They’re there long before I open my mouth. I just bring them to your attention.”

                  -- Charles Barkley

Its funny because the fan favorite is always a scrub. And scrubs get moved around the league a lot. Maybe if a fan favorite could actually be a productive player who is important to the success of the team, then they's be kept.
                    Welp, that sucked.

This is the raptors were talking about here. Let's just get one player who is a productive player first
                      "Bruno?
Heh, if he is in the D-league still in a few years I will be surprised.
                      He's terrible."

                      Hope you're wrong.

Someone wrote an article in Sportsnet magazine talking about exactly that, how people in Toronto are so quick to love the flawed overacheiver who makes up for talent with energy and determination but we completely pick apart every player who is legitimately a star until they feel unappreciated.
