This deal has to be done as 2 trades:
Trade #1
To OKC - Salmons
To TOR - Perkins
Trade #2
To OKC - Hansborough & 2014 2nd round pick (OKC)
To GS - Lowry & Jones
To TOR - Barnes & $6.2M TPE & $3.2M TPE & 2014 1st round pick (lower of OKC/DAL)
OKC
- Salmons is a veteran scoring wing they are allegedly looking for
- Hansborough is a younger, cheaper replacement for Perkins
- they can keep Lamb (since Salmons is likely only a 1 year rental) and trade Jones instead
- if Hansborough & Salmons are waived ($1M guarantee each), they would save $8.53M next season
- costs them a 30 spot downgrade at the draft (flip their 1st round pick for 2nd round pick), but save guaranteed money associated with 1st round pick
GS
- get Lowry, who they're rumored to want
- get Jones as young backup SF, to replace Barnes
TOR
- flip Lowry & Hansborough & Salmons & 2nd round pick for Barnes & 1st round pick
- also get 2 additional TPEs
- add Perkins $9.4M expiring contract for next season, but could be a decent mentor for JV and an adequate backup C
* if GS needs a little more sweetener, they could get either a future 2nd round pick or Novak (Jones would need to be acquired using a $1.1M TPE, which would go to OKC) from Toronto
