  • Raptors currently 18th most valuable NBA franchise (Forbes)

Currently valued at $520million (althought MLSE would require more than that), the Raptors have $149million in revenue ($29million in profit). For perspective, the Leafs total revenue is only $142million. Talk about untapped potential...
    - Any predictions on when the Raptors will start spending into the 'luxury tax'?

Of course, there are those who'll say that Leaf season ticket holders are forced to buy Raptor tickets as part of the deal.

Does anyone know if this is true?

well it depends on renewal rate. Usually Leafs season ticket holders renewal rate is in high 90% so there's no way you'll find LEAFS ONLY shit. ( + Let's not forget that Leafs got big waiting list too... )

^ true. And the Spurs are a great example as Forbes points out; they have the best winning % in ALL pro sports since 1997 and are a smaller market team. But consistent playoff appearances solves all problems (perception, profit, or otherwise). Just imagine where the Raptors could be with year over year post season participation.
