I'm a canadian citizen by birth and was born 2 years before the raptors became a franchise; they were always in the background when we lived in canada for a few years and when we moved they were something I really missed. Now that I can afford a league pass and all it's glory I'm able to watch it all the time which makes following the team that much easier!
League Pass has literally saved our lives :d

I don't recall any Aussie Raps players. Sean Marks was a Kiwi I think, so the only rep from that part of the world.

Actually didn't the Raps run into a bit of and imbroglio with an Australian player who turned out to have an undisclosed medical condition...dragged out into a legal argument.

                  Welcome aboard!

From what I've heard, playoff tickets will be discounted by MLSE(Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment) as an apology for the drought of success in Raptors history.

As for tickets, I don't think that anything official is out yet. Hotel-wise, there are plenty of great sites that give discounts. This link gives an idea as to the quality and general price range for some good hotels, although there are sites with cheaper deals.

Hope you can make it out to a game!
I know this may be a bit controversial but I think the Raptors have proven that they're the best team in the NBA from Canada

Oh there's no chance I'd miss it for the world! I'm expecting it to send me mostly broke but that's a risk I'm willing to take

@valsanity: welcome to the forums! You should consider taking in a Raps road playoff game. I'm not trying to discourage you from TO or the rocking ACC, I'd be there too if I could, but the Raps could sure use some support on the road. Might be alot cheaper for you too!! But if you get to the ACC, be sure to let us all know what it was like...it's gonna be a crazy place for the playoffs I have no doubt!!

It's too bad the Nets aren't still in New Jersey. In 2007, I drove down to the Meadowlands and bought Raps/Nets playoff tickets the day of.

When I asked a local, "what's with all the empty seats?", his response was, "The Yankees just started their season".

Here are some other considerations re accomodation to help with the budget possibly:

                              http://www.blogto.com/toronto/the_be...ls_in_toronto/

                              http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Revi...o_Ontario.html

                              http://www.hostels.com/toronto/canada

If you find something in the city core its pretty quick/easy using the subway system to get to the ACC.

                              Good luck
