Anyone seen the NBA.com preview? It's ALL Nets... Pretty much no coverage or mention of the Raps...

The Bench
I am wondering who on the bench is going to get burn time in game 1? It seems as if the last four to six games were an open audition for the coaches to see who was on (Vasquez, DeColo, Hansbrough) and who was not (Salmons, Patterson). Hayes was Hayes. Will Coach Casey shorten the bench, or try to use fresh legs to keep Brooklyn running? Is there even a second unit on this team that anyone can recognize?
A second, related question: Toronto's fast break is almost non-existent, but we saw flashes of it in April. Will it become more of a weapon against Brooklyn? If so, it still needs a lot of work from both starters and bench players.

It's kind of amazing how nicely Vasquez has returned to his runner up to MIP form to close out the year. It gives us and Casey the option to throw out the following lineup for stretches:
Williams vs Lowry
Livingston vs Vasquez
Johnson vs Demar
Pierce vs Ross
KG vs Amir
I don't think it will happen very often but the idea of it doesn't seem as ludicrous or as scary today as it might have a couple months ago. Vasquez has really become an offensive spark plug to close out the year. You can see it in matchup data as well as his own splits.
Not many teams can matchup with Brooklyn like that. Those are some of our best offensive players, ball handlers and floor spacers and size-wise those matchups aren't too detrimental to us. Vasquez is poor defensiely but such a plus offensively to the team's offence that he's a net positive overall according to real +/- and on/off data. It would be like fighting offence with offence in the Livingston matchup. Don't know how often we may see it but we might"Both teams played hard my man" - Sheed

A nice quote from Mr. Ujiri:
"We're proud to be a team in Canada. We're not apologetic to anybody or any players that left or anything that happened in the past. We are who we are. We're going to move forward. We're going to grow. We're going to win."
