Second best Raptor marketing plan ever. Only behind the New Era campaign featuring Rob Babcock and Sam Mitchell.

I'm in 100%. They got me hook, line, and sinker with this one. Bravo, Leiweke & Co.

I like the idea, I just don't like the slogan "We, The North" is just missing something. They are close though. Hopefully they build on it.

I mean WTF does Jane and Finch have to do with the Raptors?

Forest Hill doesn't make people get too hyped.

Marketing spin... it's Canadian grassroots basketball and Canadians' blossoming passion for the NBA, specifically our beloved national franchise, the Raptors.

The whole thing reeks of trying to appeal to the masses and the inherent inferiority complex or 'little brother' syndrome Canadian NBA fans have - "We, the North" as in 'the true north strong and free' or 'America's northern neighbour' - it's our coming-out party, re-announcing our NBA relevance to the world (aka American media).

Average work at best. I found it underwhelming.

Jane & Finch is an area within Toronto. I know you know that, but since you asked the question I'd thought I'd provide the appropriate answer.

All the courts that were shown are more-or-less hallowed pick-up courts that exist throughout the city. I think it's a great move to give a nod to the non-Raptors basketball stories that have arisen in Toronto.

It was more so the audio, than the visuals that got to me. You can hear the build up starting slowly, then getting louder, finally capped off with the "Let's go Raptors!" chant.

Imagining the raucous ACC is giving me goosebumps.

It isn't just an area. It's the most infamous intersection in the city. I think it's ridiculous that a franchise worth hundreds of millions of dollars is trying to get street cred like this.
