DD is a better player than Ross

But DD may not impact the game more than Ross

    Carmelo Anthony effect

    Philly Evan Turner effect

This is like a 10 second discussion.

break demars leg. whats torontos record for the next 30 game
break ross's leg, whats toronto's record for the next 30 games.

will casey and staff change the system, or just simly put Ross into Demars current role?

Change the system I think team will stumble for the first little bit with learning and implementing the system, then soar.

Expect Ross to become demar and it will end poorly.

    I guess.

DD has played 695 minutes with the starters out of his 1678 total minutes. About 40% of his minutes, and he has an overall net rating of +2.9.

Lowry has played an almost identical proportion of his minutes with the starters (695/1684) and has a net rating of +6.9.

JV has played 419 minutes with the starters out of his 778 minutes. Over 50% of his minutes, and he has an overall net rating of +7.7.

Not seeing the same effect on the other key starters.
Just want to point out that JV has played more than half of his minutes (~397) this year during our current 12-3 run over the last 15 games.

Lowry is better than DeRozan so the difference in net rating playing with similar lineups shouldn't really be a surprise.

Note that JV's net rating in the past 15 games is +5.9, while his net rating before that was +9.4, so I don't think the latest winning streak is causing him to have higher net ratings...

Ross is still not the 3-D guy that we need him to be.

DBPM isn't a be-all, end-all stat. DFG%, Drtg and nyloncalculus' own Opponent production have Ross at good to elite defensively.

Someone posted this on the NBA Reddit page. Ross is third best in the NBA at hitting contested 3s by percentage, really nice. Also interesting is that Lowry is pretty average in percentage, and slightly above average in attempts, while DeRozan actually shoots a decent percentage on a low number of attempts.

I swear Kyle shoots like 38-39% from 3 on the season. How is he average? Or are we just talking about on contested 3's? Also I'm not shocked about the Ross thing. Didn't expect third in the NBA but the eye test from watching the games shows he hits a lot of 3's with a hand in his face but the then the open ones he misses. And if this is about contested 3's only I am really shocked Demar is decent. I thought he was terrible at hitting contested 3's

James johnson is pretty high too. At least better than I thought. But he doesn't take many so I guess it doesn't matter.

Did I miss all the talk about this? Terry Ross and Amber Rose? She's like one of those dirty Kardashians... Hopefully this brings his game to a new level with that new pooty-tang. Apparently this is real and they are together since All-Star weekend.
