is it just me, or does NY Daily News hate the nets? Reading their articles on this series, they are some negative people.

Kidd is just playing the refs, taking a jab at the Raps, and maybe even trying to send a message to his own players ("Hey Joe, it wouldn't hurt to take a charge once in a while"). Kidd was a GREAT defensive player - he knows what it means to take charges and get stops. This is entirely calculated and has nothing to do with what his actual opinion/feelings may be about the calls. He's using the media to do his job.

As much as I love it when DeRozan gets bailed out by it, I HATE that an offensive player can initiative contact by jumping into a defender, then get rewarded with foul shots.
