    Default Rank your top SGs.

    Some names to start with

    Some guy named DeMar DeRozan?
    James Harden
    Dwayne Wade
    Lance Stephenson
    Jimmy Butler
    Gordon Hayward
    Joe Johnson
    Danny Green
    Bradley Beal
    Monta Ellis
    Tyreke Evans
    Oladipo
    Jamal Crawford
    Manu Ginoblli
    Klay Thompson
    Dion Waiters

    Who's your top ten?

Don't rank based on potential.. Rank based on season's performance.

I didn't include him because he didn't play much this season, but no doubt he'd be number #1 on my list.

It should also be noted that Demar spent 80% of his time playing SF this year, according to Basketball-Reference... So there's that.

Frankly, I don't even understand why we separate SGs and SFs. If every 2 was bigger they'd be a 3, and vice versa.

Just to throw a little wrinkle into this conversation, I'm going to rank my top SGs to have in Game 7 of a series in this year's playoffs:

    1. Wade
    2. Butler
    3. Harden
    4. Johnson
    5. Ginobli
    6. Stephenson
    7. Crawford
    8. DeRozan
    9. Thompson
    10. Ellis
    11. Green
    12. Beal

I think the op was rating players on seasons performance. I don't think Kobe should be on the list. He hardly played...

    According to Basketball-Reference, when you sort players who are considered "Guards", who played a significant amount of minutes, you get the following list, (I've included my own eye-filter, and extracted just the SGs);

    Rated by WS...
    1. James Harden
    2. Demar Derozan
    3. Wesley Matthews
    4. Lance Stephenson
    5. Klay Thompson
    6. Marco Bellinelli
    7. Manu Ginobili
    8. Arron Afflalo
    9. Jamal Crawford
    10. Kevin Martin

    Rated by PER:
    1. James Harden
    2. Manu Ginobili
    3. Demar Derozan
    4. Jamal Crawford
    5. Monta Ellis
    6. Kevin Martin
    7. Arron Afflalo
    8. Nick Young
    9. Vince Carter
    10. Alec Burks

Compiling these into My Master List, I would say its:
    1. James Harden
    2. Demar Derozan
    3. Manu Ginobili
    4. Lance Stephenson
    5. Klay Thompson
    6. Jamal Crawford
    7. Monta Ellis
    8. Arron Afflalo
    9. Bradley Beal
    10. Wesley Matthews

Wade didn't play enough minutes to make my list.
    Neither did Kobe.

Nice. Didn't realize that Manu had a pretty good bounce back year. It looked like he was done last season, especially after almost single-handedly costing the Spurs the title in Game 6 finals vs. Heat.
