And why would he care if his numbers go down if he's playing with the (arguably) best player in the world? Winning is what makes players take pay cuts, and allow their usage to go down, DeMar wants to win.

EDIT: There are of course rookie deals and empty roster slot cap holds but doesn't change us having the max to offer. Cap in 2016 will likely be $70+ million.Last edited by Primer; Tue Jul 15, 2014, 02:42 PM.

If Demar opted in, and we add in Lowry and Pattersons deals, then our total salary in 2016 would be $38.5M, which gives us plenty of room to offer Durant the max. If DD opts out, then our salary and cap holds would be at $43.5M, which is still enough room for a max deal. So, yes we can sign KD outright in 2016.

These are their cap holds:
Jonas Valanciunas $11,651,205
Terrence Ross $8,884,793
So it's more like 55M salary and cap holds without the empty spot charges and rookies. So no we don't have space for KD to sign him outright, get your facts right.

Sign and trade seems likely the best option, but that is how most big time free agents switch teams. Only Lebron was an asshole and left Miami for nothing.Last edited by Primer; Tue Jul 15, 2014, 03:03 PM.

The new CBA is working!
Its just not enough to have your 3 max stars and then surround them with mediocre or unsuitable fits nevermind getting them to take big paycuts for the pleasure of winning a ring...or not winning a ring as maybe the case.
