what a joke this is becoming. I hope the Cavs get screwed, I hope MIA gets screwed and I hope LBJ never wins another ring. Cleveland possibly picking up Allen, Miller, and Jones is just plain stupid. They should move on from their obsession with James and just start trying to manage that franchise in a way that doesn't revolve around a player they no longer have.

Bosh...get a clue and go to Houston. Melo...get a clue and go to CHI. Wade...who gives a shit!
Wow, those are my thoughts exactly. Bosh ---> Houston, Melo ---> Chi, Wade ---> finish your career on a bad Heat team please, Lebron ---> Euroleague... please
    The Baltic Beast is unstoppable!

Lol if we were CLE i'm sure we'd be willing to do the same to get Lebron. Lets be real, he is the best player in the world, and will probably go down as GOAT.

      • The spurs must find all this quite hilarious. Christ I hope they win it all again next season, well, outside of the Raps of course but I'm being realistic.

I hate to start a GOAT argument but dude... Jordan went 6-0 in the finals, GOAT is a lock until anyone can beat that.
I mean, LeBron will never put up 11 straight triple doubles, let a lone putting one up in 20 minutes.
You come at the King, you best not miss.

Perhaps, but I wouldn't run a franchise like that. Houston is gonna screw themselves over too throwing around max contracts like they do. But I guess if they can rattle off 4 straight finals appearances and two championships like the Heat did it will be worth it. But that will be much tougher in the West. I just really think some of these GM's are too willing to cater to these guys. Meanwhile, all the other good FA's like Monroe, Ariza, Deng etc gotta feel like sloppy seconds. I can only imagine they will be fully committed to their new teams when considered as the consolation for a failed LBJ/Melo courting.

MU is doing it the right way. Creating and maintaining flexibility, while building a winning culture and attitude and enhancing the overall talent level of the team. No dumping decent/solid assets just to clear the space necessary to make a run at a guy. MU will move assets if necessary to get a guy, but not to make a run at him IMO. He has a plan I think, and sticking to it. The Cavs are just reacting blindly to changing circumstances IMO.

I don't think championships should be the only factor in defining a GOAT. But I mean other than the first MIA finals blunder, Lebron really has been amazing. In terms of squads, MJ had HOF'er Scottie Pippen with him for all 6 of those championship runs (when Pippen was also in his Prime). Lebron's supporting cast has been a joke. You could argue the big three, but Wade had only 2 good years with Lebron and has been a moot point ever since (I'm not even gonna talk about Christina).

              • I just want to add this: if indeed Durant is a target of MU's than I would very much prefer to court him any day over LBJ. LBJ is too self-centered and too much revolves around him. Teams drafting players he likes and extending offers to washed up free agents he likes - what a load of crap. You never hear that shit coming out of OKC or about KD. Durant is the consummate teammate and professional, high character guy that doesn't have the crazy ego. No way he drags this out like LBJ. Plus, he's a pretty good ball player. It's gonna be interesting when/if he becomes a FA to see what ridiculousness teams do to attract him. I doubt he strings many teams along like James.

I don't understand the hate. These are reports saying Cleveland is doing this. The only report that involved Lebron, was him asking a couple of vets if they were interested in signing with CLE if he moved there.

Media creates and fuels all kind of nonsense, yet people decide it is the person that is the one to blame.

                  • Completely absurd, Lebron isn't stringing anyone along. He hasn't even taken two weeks to decide what he and his family do over the next few years.

To judge him on this is ridiculous.
                    "Bruno?
Heh, if he is in the D-league still in a few years I will be surprised.
                    He's terrible."

I would say LBJ had supporting casts in MIA that were at least as good as what MJ had in CHI, maybe even better. Pippen, Rodman and Kukoc are really the only standouts that I can think of, and Rodman was limited to rebounds and defense for the most part. Everyone else was pretty much in a limited support/specialist role. And no one could beat MJ.

This reeks of the same crap when he left Cleveland.

he also didn't really do anything when he left cleveland, if you read the script to the decision, it really wasn't that absurd

                              • Lebron's supporting cast has been a joke? Now I've heard it all.

Michael Jordan willed not only himself but his teammates to greatness. He imposed his will on the game and everyone around him. Lebron sat out the last six minutes of the season. He's just not mentally on the same level, and it's strange how every decent player put next to him eventually gets worse.

You want to take a multiple all-star power forward and make him a spotup 3point shooter so you can drive the lane and work the post, fine, but you reap what you sow.

There's a saying... If you meet one asshole, he's probably an asshole. If everyone you meet is an asshole, you're the asshole.
