There better have been rumours that OKC was going to draft him. Or at least Spurs maybe or something, cause it seems very early.

There's something to be said for picking the youngest, rawest, longest, highest upside guy you can possibly find and then spending a couple years developing the hell out of him. Anybody who's 6'9 and 7'7 wingspan with a good shot at 18 years old should be developable. I really need to question picking him this high, but I'm optimistic he can be developed into a decent player if Masai sees something in him. But let's be honest, there's a chance he never even makes it to the NBA.

Very risky pick, but I like the draftexpress video on him. Maybe its so we can free up salary

I'm excited. He's gonna be a good player. Watched a bit of the Brazilian league earlier and was intrigued by his play. Won't lie, I had no idea he was declaring for the draft or was gonna be drafted by the raptors. But as a Brazilian, I'm glad we got a Brazilian

Ok guys, after almost enduring a heart attack, lets calm down and rethink about this draft pick. Now if this pick was drafted by Bryan Colangelo and the Raptors failed to make to the playoff and is in the lottery, we would be even more mad, probably end up blowing up the ACC building, just kidding. Nonetheless, this kid is like Giannis Adetokompo's case of last year, not known but slowly moved up the draft, he could potentially be a good player in this year's pick but who knows and I doubt he will play this year, hopefully next year or the year after. He could be our glue guy, 6th man, behind T-Ross that is if we are not looking to trade the latter. I say, this is a meh pick, maybe he will turn into a better player than Rodney Hood, Kyle Anderson, and KJ McDaniels. Let's move forward and think about getting a PG in Ennis or Napier. In Masaii we trust, gosh, would be cool to have his job but the dude is too calm for his own good.

I assume this was an Air Up There situation.

A drunken Masai stumbled into the video room and accidentally knocked in a VHS tape in and as he drifted off into a drunken sleep in the background he watched a freakishly proportioned kid sloppily dunk and he knew then and there that the future of the NBA was being shown to him on a grainy video shot on a Motorola Razr. He never got a chance to re-evaluate since the videos quality wasn't good enough for two playthroughs but he's pretty sure he saw what he saw.

Is he comming over next season or being stashed in Brazil?
                      Myself (March 2014):
The raptors are a tremendous young team and will win a championship in the following five years.

He's only 18.. so possibly still growing. We might have just drafted a freak.
