So when are we resigning JV? I'd try to hurry up and try something like 5 years 35M before he realizes he's worth more.

4.5's a little high imho but it's one of those "it is what it is" things
If we are under the cap it's fine. We still can get SF for MLE. Also if it keeps GV happy I'm good with it. Just wish we didn't have Amir at 7M.

Where is the imminent part?! It would have been wise a few hours ago to get it done after Vasquez finished watching the World Cup game and his belly would be full of tequila and nachos.

Wolstats tweets are often very annoying.

"guys, as I alluded to earlier, someone else is confirming..."

"hey guys, yes he confirmed it, but I totally was thinking it first before anyone else, as you can tell from my previous vague tweet"

"guys, something I thought of in my own head actually happened, id like some credit please"

"would you look at that guys, I have been saying this all along but wasn't able to confirm it until someone else confirmed it"
Yes, he has been increasingly annoying last two days

Apparently the Raptors love P. J. Tucker.

Glad they at least are making contact with PJ Tucker to see if it can work. Not sure what kind of offer it would take. Would the Suns match a full MLE? Is Tucker worth that? Can we get him for even less? These are the questions going through my mind.

He just seems like such a good fit, both on and off the court...perfect mentality for our team.

Are you saying a Venezuelan would not be happy with tequila and nachos because he is not Mexican?! do I have to be specific here and find food that he only consumes in Venezuela that only a handful people would know about?! Canadians should stop drinking beer during hockey games because they are not ancient Egyptians who first brewed that great drink but stick to hot maple syrup as well as they should stick to whale blabber instead of Pizza because its Italian.

I just think the recent signings point to something few ppl notice. It really shows that Masai really connects with his players almost like a college player and his college coach. It's really nice to see it at a business level.
No doubt, but you certainly cannot say the same for the head coach, who works with the team every day.

Okay im sold. Im on the PJ Tucker bandwagon but, I feel alot of you will fall off if he starts playing over Terrence Ross.

    26. P.J. Tucker | SF | RFA

    Tucker
    2013-14 Team: Phoenix Suns
    2013-14 Salary: $884,293
Suggested AAV: $4 million/year, three years, non-guaranteed third year

Tucker emerged as a high-level defensive wing, and the addition of a reliable corner 3-point shot makes him more valuable. His restricted free agency coupled with Phoenix's grand free-agency plans means he'll be an easier target to extract with a competitive enough offer. At the same time, his advanced age necessitates not getting attached to a long-term deal.

Every team team needs that crazy guy

Tucker would be an awesome get for the team, he fits perfectly as the guy to tackle defending those larger wings. Wonder what kind of offer it would take for Phoenix to let him go? On the one hand Phoenix has the cap space to afford to match most offers, but on the other they've got SF depth with Morris and Green. Will probably boil down to what the Suns do with their cap space. He'd be my ideal cheap wing depth guy though.

Agreed. We may need roster spot if MU makes a run at VC or Chandler Parsons or another veteran with MLE

Tucker has heart but is a little undersized.

No doubt about that, but he's got a decent wingspan and more importantly he's a hell of a lot stronger than DD or Ross. Watching the video posted above I was really impressed with how he was able to body up the Carmelo / Rudy Gay types in order to deny them their spots, which was obviously the big problem with defending Joe Johnson last year. As an energy defender off the bench who can hit the corner 3, I think he'd be perfect in spot duty depending on matchups.

And really, who's the alternative in the mid-level-or-less price range? Aminu, who can't shoot to save his life? Alan Anderson, king of the irrational confidence players?

He's undersized in height, but he's thick and it's all muscle. He was a PF in college at around 6'5''. He can hold his own against pretty much anyone...except maybe LeBron.

I agree. He can not defend the big SFs that we will see.We already have a under size SF in Ross.
