An argument could be made for Machado over Kabongo. Machado is an elite passer - if we want the ball in Bruno's hands, he's the guy to put it there. Add in Machado is Brazilian, and that might make for a better travel buddy.
Honestly either or works for me.

I prefer kabongo because he is younger and Canadian - yes, I said it lol.

But if it comes down to it and machado is the better player, machado it is. I liked him when he came out.

Rockets has a whole sale sign on right now. Is there anything that we can involve with ?

Only if there is a third party. Dump contracts for picks and grab Terrence Jones, DM and anything else Rockets need to move.

We still probably have about 2.7M under the tax. And plenty of TPE room. So we could absorb one of Jones or Motiejunas and send nothing back out.

Motiejunas would be a great , low risk one that could work very well here.

I'd love to defeat the Pacers in the playoffs and battle in the Conference Finals with the Cavs (If LeBron goes there). That would be quite something.

With James Johnson signed, is this the team for 2014-15?

                  PG: Lowry, Vasquez, Buycks*
                  SG: DeRozan, Williams, Fields
                  SF: Ross, Johnson, Bruno
                  PF: Amir, Patterson, Hansbrough
                  C: Valanciunas, Hayes, Bebe

That is 15 roster spots with the * being Buycks unguaranteed deal.

If Buycks is waived, who is picked up?
A third string PG or a backup C?
                  My guess is PG.
I'd love to see Kabongo as the team's 3rd string PG.

First team: Lowry, DeRozan, Ross, A. Johnson, Valanciunas

Second team: Vasquez, Williams, J. Johnson, Patterson, Hansbrough

That's how I see it, and it's a very strong lineup. But then, we all know that Coach Casey's lineups are a bit crazy, changing from one game to the next, often without much of a pattern (except we could always count on Salmon). Here's hoping to more stable times ahead.

I disagree the Raps are thin up front.

Last year the big rotation was:

                      PF: Amir, PP, Hansbrough
                      C: JV, Hayes
                      Small ball 4: Novak

                      This year big rotation likely:

                      PF: Amir, PP, Hansbrough
                      C: JV, Hayes, Bebe
                      Small ball 4: James Johnson

It would be nice if Bebe develops in to that back up shot blocking big in the mold of Birdman or Wright this season. However Raps still managed 48 wins without that type of player last season. This year's big rotation will have more experience (ie. JV), a better small ball option in JJ, and a long shot blocker (albeit extremely raw).

Last year's roster had 5 PGs. Right now there are 2.5. I think you need that 3rd string as insurance. Machado or Kabongo or Buycks.

Be sure to drop "imminent" as frequently as possible.

                          lol

He is right ... We still don't have the big back up C that was in our wish list yet. We have a lot of PFs but no real centre other than Big Val. Thinking Bebe will be able to carry that load is just wishful thinking. Bebe and Bruno will not get any minutes this year.

guessing 3rd string pg, being Buycks, unless Machado/Lee really shine in summer league
