Wait... why does it say we traded away Bebe?? Is this true?
It also says we signed him as a rookie. Just to be clear, it's saying we've both added and lost the same player. It's clearly fucked. Exactly the kind of high quality work we've come to expect from nba.com.

*Also, if you click on Nogueira or Cherry, it takes you to Jonas' player page.

okay so we are absolutely trading someone.

maybe we are the elusive third team in the Cavs/Minny Trade
bro bro i think its safe to say you can take that down now, will never know the truth now that wiggins is gone and love is in. who do you think we would target in the cavs/minny trade. I read that is bennet was a piece going to inny they would flip him to philly. Id love to see him end up on the raps.

Don't know much about Jordan Hamilton, but why not try to bring back Sonny Weems if you are looking for a bit of offense?

That's the Fields Family crest, right there. How do you think he snagged that wife?

I think JJohnson is back because Lowry & DeRozan pitched the idea to Coach and Ujiri. Sonny was a Colangelo guy so, someone on the present roster would have to vouch for him.

Masai has more minions than Dr. Evil & Gru combined.

Dont understand...or maybe you aren't aware...in a previous incarnation JJ was in fact a Colangelo guy too. BC acquired him from the Bulls for a draft pick (low 1st).

This I know so, in order for him to re-enter the fold; it required some campaigning on the part of COMP10 & KLow7. Weems is another Colangelo guy so, in order for Masai to consider him; someone on the inside would have to plead his case.

Masai was here when Sonny was here, so there's a huge flaw in that theory

Whoa, everyone calm down. MU liked the kid in Denver and had a chance to grab him for an unguaranteed on the cheap.

It's like seeing a beer mug that you like at a garage sale so you pick it up knowing full well your wife will make you chuck out one of your redundant mugs if you bring another one home.

You still buy the beer mug, because later you may decide to keep it and chuck one of the other mugs that you hardly ever use. However, you may end up deciding to chuck the mug you just bought....but that's a decision for a later date. Right now you're just happy you bought a beer mug that you like for dirt cheap.

Hamilton wouldn't just accept an invite to a team with a full roster when a lot of other teams need a SF and have a space. If the cost to keep Hamilton is Hands then its would be better to keep Handsborough and if Toronto has to dump Fields then Hamilton isn't worth the first it would cost.

He might. What if he didn't have any guaranteed offers from teams with a free spot? Or any offers at all? We are talking a guy who's been an end of bencher for the most part.

Francisco Garcia was signed by the Rockets. Guys like Whiteside accept camp invites to teams with no roster space. Even Will Cherry wouldn't have signed if there wasn't a roster space.

Garcia is a league veteran who there was probably some decent demand for.

There is absolutely no reason to assume Hamilton will be given a spot, and was promised such when he signed. He's fully a fringe NBAer at this point, and those guys don't usually get lots of offers. Wouldn't be surprised if all he was getting was non-guaranteed training camp invites. After all, he's a wing with no skill that stands out in any way. Even his size is pretty average, and he's not a "wow" athlete or anything.

A non-guaranteed invite to a team with a need at SF is better than the same with a team with DD,Ross,JJ,Fields at SF and DD,Ross,Lou and GV at SG. Lakers don't have any legit SF.

Holy crap man. I don't know what you're not getting here. Maybe he had no good offer.

Also, playing on a bad team with more of a roster opening does not equal better situation. How many crappy players from Philly's roster last year are finding good jobs in the NBA?

Hamilton might prefer the tougher option, where he'll have a harder time cracking the rotation, but if he does he's a role player on a successful team, and probably sets himself up for actual offers to stay in the NBA as that will be appealing to NBA execs. More appealing than a guy who obviously has flaws in his game that he's not really working on as he jacks up shots on a terrible team.

*Just to add, I think Hamilton knows his ceiling is a role player, and is looking for the "right" situation. We still have no real SF behind Ross. Everyone is assuming JJ, but that's a guy who's bounced around a lot and has clashed with our coach before. If Hamilton can bring more consistency, coachability and a better outside shot, he could have a real chance at cracking the rotation.

His spot on the team depends on the cost of opening a spot. If we had a spot available then no issue. But he has to be worth more then the cost of moving a player.

Using the beer mug analogy a free beer mug is worth whatever you need to discard to make space in your bag that's full.
