MLSE executives probably aren't even sports fans. MU runs the Raptors and Casey coaches. If they fail MU blames Casey and if they struggle for a long time the MLSE executives blame MU. GMs don't fire coach because too many changes means their job is next.
Tanenbaum is a huge sports fan. And George Cope (CEO of Bell) is a big-time basketball guy and former CIAU player. Don't know about Rogers. But suffice to say, at least 2 out of 3 key MLSE board members most likely really care about the team and how it does.

Sometimes being a fan as an executive can be detrimental to the best interests of the team.

Doesn't mean they are Raptors fans. They are a business and a corporation first. Outside of the Blue Jays don't know any organization owned team being well run long term and even the Jays faltered

And sometimes they end up becoming another Mark Cuban! Or at least Steve Ballmer.

We can only dream. Not happening with the corporate structure of MLSE.

                • We've quietly won 10 of the last 12, with wins against the Spurs, Clippers, Hawks, and Wizards x2 during that stretch. The defence has improved in the last few weeks, and we're now 15-12 against teams over .500, which is the 5th best mark in the league. Shout outs to Coach Casey - he certainly gets piled on when things go poorly so here's a little love for the team playing so well lately.

I think the problem is more Ross than Casey

                        • We are about to have the best two seasons in Raptor history and you want the coach gone....that makes sense. Have you looked at our roster compared to other teams? I would say the coach is getting a lot out of what he has.

Nope. Vasquez guarded Tyreke Evans during crunch time six weeks ago so we should fire him!

                              • Defense is #16 now according to Hollinger Defensive Rating.

If they can keep it rolling, their chances of true contention increase significantly
