They may have registered interest. Not like the Mavs and Heat are the only teams to have contacted him (also, Dallas is pretty much going after every able bodied big man available, so who knows if they're wrong or right).

He's also a guy who could wash out of the league within the next year or so. Sometimes that's the right situation to make things click. If not it's pretty low risk. He's never been toxic in the locker room and it's not like we'd miss Steamer.

Again, McGee has never been toxic or anything. If McGee's presence alone can destroy team chemistry, our chemistry is not nearly as good as it's made out to be.

It's not like I think the move would be amazing, and I'd have pretty much no expectation of it panning out....But again, it's not like Steamer's doing anything for us, and McGee at least theoretically has tools we could use.

I'm surprised we haven't heard talk of him coming here, MU is the one that gave him the big contract, obviously he saw something in him (and let's be honest it's easy to see something in him, there aren't that many people on the planet with his size and athleticism).

As odd as this is going to sound, I think Hayes would be a very positive influence on him in particular. His issue was never character or being a negative influence...it was always low BB IQ.
