Demar Trade Options

He's not likely to net a real star by himself, but in combination with picks and other assets, it's possible. But a real star would first have to be available, no one trades them unless they are forced for some reason. If one becomes available, then Demar + picks / prospects could be a sexy offer.

A trade for picks could also make sense, some team that wants to win now and that's willing to give up a couple longer term unprotected picks, like Miami with Dragic or Nets with Pierce/KG.

In a nutshell

Going after draft picks also helps with mcHappy's struggle where it is just hard to find good trade partners for DD

Why?

Huge upgrade at the pg spot for them, Dekker or Brewer takes Arizas spot. Big Upgrade that will help propell in the playoffs.

Why? No secret Chicago wants a sf upgrade, although they most likely do not want to trade Mirotic, they at least get a somewhat poor version of him back in the trade and they pick up what will most likely be a great draft pick in the top 10. Ariza gives them someone to body Lebron in the playoffs. They still will be looking for a backup pg.

Why?
Raps add a pg/sg who can get wherever he wants to on the court and is great and putting defenses on its heals.
Mirotic is a do everything PF with lots of potential for growth
Tucker adds depth and toughness at the sf spot.

Lineups have loads of versatility offensively and defensively

I got to be honest, I hate the trade.

Lakers have a pretty solid back court with Russell and Clarkson plus Lou Will for 3 years now.

Jazz have a similar offensive player in Burks and then they have Exum who also can't shoot plus Hood.... I dont' see it.

New Orleans have Holiday and Evans.... Gordon too although free agent next summer as well.

Knicks - yes - they need help everywhere.

Hornycats (lol, never saw that before) have MKG, Batum, Lin, and a lot of unproven players like Lamb and Hairston so maybe.

Nets reek of desperation so always a possibility.

Celtics have so many guards and wings.... I can't see it unless something else happens first.



And by the way, I don't mean to criticize your suggestions or opinions.



Brooklyn, Knicks, Hornycats. Of those Brooklyn has nothing to trade nor does the Knicks.


It really is tough to find a place for him right now, in my opinion.

If no one really wants or needs DeMar now, then just keep him, he's a good player.

But I think that it's not true, and we'll see it in a year when we have to pay 25 mil + annually to keep him, because several other teams will want him.

With OKC having Steven Adams and Enes Kanter in the frontcourt (and possibly PPat if we include him in the trade), do you guys think there is a possibility that they accept to do a DeMar/Ibaka swap? He would definitely be an upgrade at their 2 spot.

I would only do it if I know that Ross can start at the 2, meaning not before january 2016 so we have a clear idea.

But in fact I don't want to trade DeMar. I want us to play casino in 2017, not before.
