  • And Down the Stretch They Come: Who Gets the Final 2 Spots in the EC Playoff Derby ?

With two weeks to go to the end of the Regular Season there are two spots open in the East for the Playoffs.
    Who makes it in ?

Brooklyn.. Won 5 in a row. 8 games left including tonight vs Raps. 6 at Home and 2 on the Road. No one hurt.
Miami.... 2up and 3 down in their last 5. 7 left with 4 at home 3 on the road. Wade limping again.
Boston...3up and 2 down in their last 5. 7 left including tonite with 3 at home 4 on the road. Cleveland and Toronto home and away. Do they really want to fall out of the lottery ?
Charlotte...2up and 3down in their last 5. 7 left with 3 at home and 4 on the road. Jefferson limping. Atlanta, Houston and Toronto twice. Miami on the road.
Indy ...2up and 3down in their last 5. 6 left with 3 at home and 3 on the road. No one hurt. Pistons+Knicks offset by OKC+Memphis.

There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

BKN has a chance at not only getting 1 of the last 2 spots but with the way they are playing now and MIL playing so bad they might grab the #6 being only 2.5 games behind

Not impossible but pretty unlikely. If the Bucks win 2 of their remaining 6 then the Nets have to go 6 and 1 to take 6th. Bucks hold the first tie breaker which I am pretty sure is conference record. The bucks have the Knicks/Philly/Orlando on the sched.

      TIEBREAKER BASIS:

      (1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division
      (2) Head-to-head won-lost percentage
      (3) Conference won-lost percentage
      (4) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, own conference
      (5) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, other conference
      (6) Net Points, all games
