  • Will what the Wizard do in the next round change your outlook on the series ?

Were the Wizards that good or were the Raptors that bad is my question ? If they go out in 4 in the next round or they take out the next opponent in 5 games .. Will either scenario change your outlook on the series ?

    Nope.

Raps were destroyed in what, at the very least, should have been a competitive series.

      Nope.

The issues were apparent long before the playoffs started. The Wizards beatdown was just the icing on the cake.

        No.

The Raptors slide to mediocrity began 2-3 mos ago. Many did not want to admit it. They would have lost to any other seed in the first round. It doesnt matter what the Wiz do or dont.

The Raptors were that bad. Nothing the Wizards do will change that.

I'd say the slide began on the 2nd half of that post christmas west coast trip. Specifically the GSW and PHX games where they got blown out.

No, we lost by an average of 14 ppg, with a resounding 31 point beatdown in the final game of the series as the higher seed.

If we were swept with an average of 1-7 ppg, then sure I could live with it because maybe the wiz just had it all click and we put up a good fight.

Even if they win it all, it doesn't excuse how we performed.

Look at Mil/Chi. That's putting up a fight against a seasoned and talented team.

Yes. If the Wiz get swept and lose handily, it will only strengthen the Fire Casey argument.

Edit: I didn't read the question.

Nope. With the expectations the players placed on themselves, nobody should have beat us that bad. Even against golden state we should have taken a game at home. That is, based on how arrogant our players were. We didn't squeak in,b ut we did lay down and die like an 8th seed

The goal is to build a contender. If Wizards lose in 4 or win in 4, either one proves that this Raptors team is years away from contending.
Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

Just loosing the series wouldn't have been that bad, the Wizards are no scrubs.
Getting embarrassed & not showing up at all with no effort for half of the series is the biggest problem and that has nothing to do with the opponent.

How about if the Wizards embarrass the next team they play?

Means nothing. Raptors got destroyed by basic PnR's and got lit up by role players. If the Wizards do end up embarrassing their next opponent (the Hawks, let's be real), then that just means there's yet another pretender in the Eastern Conference.

Speaking of pretenders, the Hawks are looking a little shaky right now.
