In all seriousness, Alan Anderson would be a great value add. He'll only cost a couple million per year, he's a reliable enough three-point shooter that he can space the floor a little, he's a great defender and knows when to take his shots. I'd honestly prefer him to Aminu.

It's not Anderson's fault that Casey overplayed him in 2012-13, when the Raptors had very limited talent on the floor anyway. Who was he going to play instead? You can't use the "should've played Ross" card any more, because now Ross has had plenty of play time and has shown he's a defensive non-entity.

He's good. Generally doesn't get lost on rotations, can generate steals off anybody who isn't a decent ball-handler, has a perfectly useful 6'10" wingspan.

Certainly Aminu is the better defender. But Aminu is simply a non-factor on offense, and we need shooters and 3&D guys, not yet more non-shooting ace defenders who let opposing teams all but ignore perimeter defense. So long as DeRozan is our starting 2, Anderson is the better fit over Aminu.
