I was seeing a former GM's tweet telling people not to sleep on Raps... And yeah, I know that people are dumb, but to see how little they consider Toronto as a Free Agent destination does make me sad still, even if we made tremendous progress. Because let's face it, it is still true to a pretty big degree. Even if I do not think we get LMA, that's why I hope we get him the most, actually. That could be a decisive blow against the "Toronto is not a good FA spot" argument.
But people saying Lakers and Spurs have just a little more of a shot than Raps are also not very bright. Knicks, yeah. But LAL and SAS are not only big, but they are two franchises accustomed to winning. LAL turned things around in their favour through power moves more times than we can count, and SAS is so stable as a franchise that they're probably thinking three to four steps already on how to be good even after their main core is finally gone. Raps are a long shot, even if we're a good basketball fit for LMA, maybe even better than those two on short-term.Comment
