    • Good trade for Utah.. Hill is a pro.. and they need a good/smart vet running the point there.

Just to veer off the who do we take topic for a bit....

The draft is a chance for our competition to improve themselves....
The herd just behind us includes.. Miami.. Detroit... Boston...Charlotte... Atlanta and the Bulls...

Seeing that Boston is the team thats coming into the draft loaded with options.... What would constitute success or failure for Danny's boys ?

Who do they get via the draft at 3..16..23 or who do they trade for that makes it a great night for them ?
        or
What Excremento Kings type outcome makes it a bad night for the Celts ?
Worst outcome for Boston is keeping all the picks and having no idea what to do with four young guys with first round money. Best case is getting a young guy on the verge of being an all-star (there guy would have been Hayward)

Fords new big board Version 10.

The usual top 8, then D. Murray at 9.

          10 - Sabonis

          11 - Ellenson

          12 - Peoeltl

          14 - Skal

          16 - Deyonta
If Sabonis' upside is Milsap and his downside is Scola; sign me up.

            Wouldn't be that bad.

            Best case: Bledsoe

            Worst case: Wrotens?
            FWIW Ford on D. Murray

            Upside: Jamal Crawford

            Downside: MCW
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

            • For the sake of argument:

Player one: 6'10", 6'11" wingspan; college stats for final year of college: 29.6 minutes per game, FG% .559, 3P% .354, FT% .767, per game stats 17.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.4 blocks; true shooting .644, 11.3 winshares

Player two: 6'10", 6'10.5" wingspan; college stats for final year of college: 31.9 minutes per game, FG% .611, 3P% .357, FT% .769, per game stats 17.6 points, 11.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.9 blocks; true shooting .654, 7.9 winshares

Player three: 6'8", 7'1" wingspan; college stats for final year of college: 34.1 minutes per game, FG% .571, 3P% .357, FT% .623, per game stats 19.6 points, 13.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.9 steals, 1.3 blocks; true shooting .590, 10.8 winshares

Now, pointing to raw stats obviously isn't the be-all and end-all of discussion; players are more than their stats, and in particular Domantas Sabonis, who is Player Two here, can be identified by his lack of the above-the-rim play by his lower blocking numbers.

That having been said, he comps pretty closely overall to players One and Three here. Player One is Kevin Love. Player Three is Paul Millsap.

Hmmmm. Didn't realize how long he was. Maybe Shaun Livingston? I would take that at 9.

                • Ross+9+JJ (S&T) for Millsap?

Can throw in LAC's first as well.

I think this was a good trade for all 3 teams to be honest

Seriously? Millsap might be one of the 3 best players in the entire Eastern Conference. He's not getting traded for that group of parts.

It's not that simple, if it was the National Player of the Year would be drafted 1st overall every year.

You do realize that Kevin Love is only 6-ft-8 at best.

                              http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/pos...liars-in-shoes

PF: Kevin Love (“6-10”): He measured at 6' 7.75," but that isn’t what makes Kevin Love’s height deception so dastardly. It’s that K-Love is photographed at the height level of a “6-8” Derrick Williams. Now some would say, “This makes his rebounding all the more impressive.” I’m not so forgiving. Turn in your World Championship trophy, you dirty heightener, you.
And for Thad Young lovers.... he's just under 6-ft-6.

He's got an expiring contract.. that can impact his trade value. Boston may go after him but they also might want a guy with a longer term deal. I think Masai should take the chance that Millsap would resign and Atlanta should get some decent players/propsects for him and rebuild. Ross/9/LAC 1st is a great package.. especially considering they only got the #12 pick for their all-star guard.
