  • If we take poeltl I might be sick

    • I know you can say it about any young player really I like Zhou Qi's game, but he will need to live in the weight room and D-League for about 2 years before he plays meaningful minutes, and not because he doesn't have skills but just to get used to the physicality and strength of NBA players...if he is still there at 27 I'd take him

If we did not have JV I would really like this guy on the roster. I think he can be a very good starting centre in the league, he just does not fit our roster all that well.

is that not the case for most picks in our range?
Yes but he's probably not the best player on the board and he plays the same position as JV. He's not even filling a dire need...

I watched Skal play a lot this year and he's a sure fire bust. Austin Daye 2.0

He looked absolutely pathetic against non NBA level talent all year long.

              • If anyone could post the link of Steve Kyler's tweets (not working for me rn), it seems that we are watching Skal workout today.

This is a good example of why it's not a good idea to get too hung up on the mock drafts. These people miss a lot. It's fun to look at and obtain information but beyond that their track records aren't usually very good. Except for Chad Ford who time travels to right the past wrongs.

                  • That's reassuring we may get one of Dunn

                    • Just in case anyone is unaware...Marc Eversley used to be w/Raptors and a BC disciple...and from the Toronto area (I believe).

I cant see them picking JM 1st though...that would be wild. Maybe he was just doing the kid a favour...pumping up his selection slot#.

                      • Lots of support for Jamal Murray if he is on the board and some think trade up if he is available a slot or two in front of 9.
So in the lifeboat exercise who do you throw over first....Powell or Murray as they both are combo guards.?
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Let them compete...push each other...for a year at least.

I don't think there is going to be enough minutes available at the big team level for all the PG and SG
                            Depth chart looks like
                            Kyle...CoJo... Ross .....Powell...Wright....Murray...

Its a pro day for IMG. Skal Labissiere and Juan Hernangomez are the two draft prospects working out. Pretty much the whole NBA is there.
