GV and Lou took a lot of shots. The offense will fall
GV shot 37% from the floor last season, according to the Raptors site. Lou shot 31%. If the Raptors shoot the ball as frequently in the coming season, their actual offense should go up.

Adhering to QUALITY over QUANTITY should do wonders as well.

Granted people will point to ORtg as evidence the offense was fine and dandy, however, watching games, particularly crunch time, told a different story.

Another place the offense should see improvement is easy buckets. So much length and defenders starting to round out the roster which should lead to a few easy buckets in transition. There was very little easy with the Raptors offense last year due to the porous defense.

DD is good at that, so is KL the trick is them having confidence in their teammates / being unselfish enough to hit the open man. With practice, extended minutes and touches in the regular season JV could also get better at kicking out for open shots. Demarre was an outstanding get. No problem there.
dd is terrible at that, kl is mediocre at best

They draw defenders but they certainly don't hit (or even look for) the open man.

Umm I think you're looking at playoff stats. Lou shot 40% from the field in the regular season and had a TS% of 55. He was actually our most efficient wing/guard all season.

I agree on the less is more narrative too. If we have a shorter rotation with guys who all play quality defense and like you said, can generate some easy looks in transition off steals, blocks or forcing bad shots, it'll just make things so much easier for us.

Milwaukee's #1 scoring option for the 2nd half of last year was basically Khris Middleton (or maybe Giannis). They were able to field a very strong team simply by playing great defense and we have a LOT more offensive talent than they do. So if Casey can somehow use this personnel properly we should be stronger than last year tbh

his natural position is C but he's athletic and fast enough to guard all 3 front court positions, and he's only 22...he could be one of the quiet steals of the summer.
Love the exuberance but theirs no way Biyombo can guard any 3 in the league - He's athletic and fast in a straight line but somewhat lanky/clumsy which causes him to get beat by quicker 4's like Patterson and Bosh never mind 3's.
When Tom Chambers dunks an NBA player gets their hops...

Yeah, my bad. They both shot 40 point something. Still not great.

                  Much better. No comparison really.

Demar only can draw a defender part if the time, ajd that is onky off a handoff from another player while he is already cutting.

He doesnt make defenses collapse, he makes it switch.

Better to look at TS% for Lou since he draws a ton of fouls too. GV took a lot of 3s

I'm pretty sure JV had like 2 point something block/game last year.

So... more blocks than anyone on our team not named Jonas.

EDIT: Wrong, so very very wrong. Bismack did have more blocks/game than Jonas.

raptor dont really play a style that leads to blocks. the pf meets guys at the perimeter hoping to cause a TO rather then letting contests at the rim. also makes DReb harder
