    Sounds like semantics.
Calling tanking a "problem" is exactly semantics.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

No, that's a matter of opinion at best, craziness at worst (calling tanking not a problem).

Well he's clearly not telling the truth then, what would he call the 76ers strategy?

Tanking in its most basic sense has been around in sports since the modern eras. A team realizing its out of it for the season, and trading all its past their prime guys or guys in their last contract year for younger players. Obviously certain teams have taken it way past that, for multi year tanks, etc. Certain markets can get away with it, certain can not. New york and LA don't tank, they just can't get out of their own way.

The Lakers give the appearance of going for free agents like Aldridge this summer or Melo last summer but if you look at the roster it's a mix of oft injured well past his prime Kobe plus unproven youngsters and high volume chuckers. Speaking semantically, what's in a name? That which we call tanking. (shout out to 3inthekeon).

Because his definition of tanking is the players themselves trying to lose. Which happens to be no one else's definition.

If there ever was a buy low point on a player this is it. He may never play again but medical technology is ever advancing and you never know. If the Raptors could get him for near nothing it might be worth it to stash him.

... But the again if this guy was on the block you know the Kings would be liable to do anything. Just saying.

The most any NHL team can drop is one spot and NFL/MLB's best tankers automatically get the 1st pick.
In the NFL teams don't tank. One player doesn't have the same impact he does in the NBA and so it's less appealing to cut talent in a hope of tripping over your incompetent self and landing in gold.

The poor guy can't get a break from that break.

No they didn't. Peyton Manning suffered a severe neck injury and the whole team was built around him and his legendary arm.
