  • As long as the Knicks are owned by James Dolan and run by Phil Jackson the only direction they have is south. Pick is now 10th and looks to be improving.
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Who would've thought we'd get a potential top 10 pick for Bargnani? Jesus, I love that trade so much

      • Two games to watch tonight:

Wizards at Knicks: Wizards can push New York down the standings and create additional separation between them (Washington currently 1.5 games ahead of New York in the standings.

Celtics at Bucks: Double Whammy potential! Bucks can close gap to just 1 game behind NY (assuming Knicks' loss) and can create additional space between the Raptors and the third place Celtics.

LOL I don't know which deal is worse this one, or the deal they backed off in the last second when the Raptors were ready to trade Lowry?! as much as I am not a big fan of big corporations owners like Toronto has, it might be better off then a rich single owner like Dolan who can veto or push for a trade by going over the GM's head.

          • With Gasol out for the year, hopefully that doesn't boost Denver's chances to get into the playoffs.

Pick is near peak value right now. I hope Masai is aggressive on the trade front. Would really love a star to help us make some serious noise in the playoffs.

Wow. Big blow for Memphis. Still probably good enough to make the playoffs. 30 wins already. We'll see

nah.. if the griz go just 13 and 17 to the end of the season that puts them at 43 and 39
the nuggets would have to go 23 and 6 to finish a game ahead at 44 and 38...

keep cheering for the Jazz.. Kings... and Pelicans...

Agreed. You should be very careful about trading your picks, but they are prime assets.

                          • Ironic. He's cautioning against trading first round picks as you may not be as good as you thought you'd be. We wind up only giving up #12 for Lowry because we somehow were better than we'd thought we'd be. Still has some merit.

                            • I think a good rule of thumb is to always, always trade current year draft picks or picks from other teams before you trade your own future picks. Because you really want any misfortune your team suffers to be tied inversely to a draft pick's value. If all goes wrong at least you have your picks.

Obviously there are times to trade future picks, but those are just the exceptions that prove the rule.
