  • Has your opinion of Masai Ujiri changed lately ?

Just asking has his work this summer and that includes Ross signing changed your opinion on him ... His dealing away of Bargs and Gay was a great job but is that offset from the fact he decided to call the two dumbest organization and of coarse they would be easy to fleece .

Nope, I still believe he has something planned or working towards something nobody has any clue about.

I'm still firmly in Colonel Masai's camp.

Full on the MU bandwagon unless certain changes are made by training camp of next year

          Cautious optimism for me.

Masai's still a breath of fresh air compared to the old regime, but he's human after all, so he's going to make mistakes. Let's just hope the hits are bigger than the misses. Time will tell.

I will say the Ross signing was probably the first move I hated. Way too much for a 3 pt specialist. And yes I'm aware of the new cap etc

My view remains unchanged: excellent tactician, sketchy strategist.

That said, I'll gladly change my view on his strategic aptitude if 2016 reveals some planned masterstroke.... But I said the same thing about this past summer, and here we are.

To quote a great man: "No."
"My biggest concern as a coach is to not confuse winning with progress." - Steve Kerr
"If it's unacceptable in defeat, it's unacceptable in victory." - Jeff Van Gundy

I think he did well in the past summer. Only negative was keeping Casey. Masai got and impressed in a meeting with Aldridge. He signed Carroll and other decent role players.

I'll reserve judgment until after the 2016 offseason, highlighted by determining the fate/future of Casey and DeRozan.

Not a huge fan of the Carroll signing. Not a fan at all of Ross getting 11 mill / year. Will wait to see what he does with Casey next year.

Hopefully a year of having your own DLeague will help in the growth of their draft picks . I am hoping one day a second round gem is picked by this organization and was hoping Masai influence would be result in this ...

Whenever I see someone talk about Masai, people make him seem infallible. Although I think that Masai is a great GM, I do think he's human too and would make some mistakes or questionable moves. I'm still pro-Masai though, especially when he somehow got a first pick for Vasquez.

Other than some agreeable moves such as trades he's made, a few signings and the sly/mysterious office, I do not think he's proven anything that would make him an amazing GM. Especially when he's never made it out of the first round with any team (Denver and Toronto). I think the end of this off-season and next year are years where we can judge him, as he's reversed the mess that BC left in Toronto.

Norman Powell. Still have hope he'll be a solid player.

The thing is he was only getting started with what he wanted to do in Denver and with Toronto, he cleaned up Colangelo's mess and is also getting started now.
