They get up the court, JV is posting up, ball goes to DeMar on the wing and he instantly drives. Really seemed like the play call was a JV post up, and that's what I think Lowry was saying to him. DeMar gets into trouble because, well, there was no space to drive given JV expecting a post up. Threw a terrible bailout pass to Jonas' feet. Jonas picks up the ball, initiates a move into the post with Hayward and Gobert doubling, and passes cross court to Carroll at the wing. Carroll passes to DeMar in the corner, and DeMar misses a 3.

In this play, DeMar seemingly ignores a play call to go get his own. Makes a bad choice driving straight into the help. Makes a bad "oh fuck I'm stuck" pass that the team was lucky to recover. Fails to make a 3pter in the corner, a shot you need your SG to hit.

And people wonder why he's criticized?
